What I love about this stuff is that it flies right over the heads of the younger set. I found Animaniacs to be incredibly annoying rather than funny, but really appreciate the higher aim for the humor. Seriously, how many people under the age of (then) 30 would get the "Promise" reference?

Very impressed with how much they were able to use: uniforms, sound effects, and it looked like the Filmation planet drawing in the beginning. The devil's in the details and they got 'em right.

Poor Scotty! As soon as I saw the doughnut, I knew he was in for it.

Indeed, I found the series annoying rather than amusing, but they got an awful lot of series references packed in there.

They missed the boat though with the "Helloooooooo nurse" line, where was Chapel when needed?
