Star Wars The Clone Wars Legacy

While we're at it, I hated the way Obi-Wan referred to the Amani (sp?) as "things." I've never known him to be that racist.

I would have accepted "pathetic life forms".

"What's this?"
"A local."

It could just be that unfamiliar beings are generally referred to with neutral pronouns so as not to presume, but yeah, it does come off as something of a colonial attitude.

Hmm... maybe I should've accepted that offer to get a tablet at a discount when I bought my smartphone a few months back. Well, too late now.
If you wanted to switch to VMWare or Redhat for your OS, I believe they don't have that filter like Windows does (I believe Windows XP allows only half of bandwidth through). That may not be stated totally accurately, but, Windows OS is filtering your bandwidth, whereas other OS do not do that.

OK I sat down and watched the Utapau four parter. The pre-vis looked a LOT better than I expected, it had the full audio and soundtrack and camera movements and everything. I didn't mind watching it in this form at all.

As for the episodes themselves I'd give it 2/4, 2.5/4, 3/4, 3/4

Not a great serial but not a terrible one. The first part didn't have much going for it aside from "hey! they're on Utapau!". The Anakin and Obi-Wan interactions were very amusing, particularly when they were building the raft for the crystal. Like just about every single four part story of the Clone Wars, I feel that it was one episode too many. They just seem to be drug out too much to fill screen time.

I thought that these were some of the strongest eps of the series and it's a shame that they probably won't ever be finished (though I'm sure Disney has a few bucks lying around to do it if they wanted to give us TCW fans one last parting gift). It had some cool easter eggs like Grevious' targeting computer (looked like he was pursuing a Y-Wing) and his ship spinning out of control a la Darth Vader in ANH after the explosion of the ship. As has been mentioned, Obi-Wan's distaste for using a blaster was nicely keeping with his comments in ROTS in ANH about them. I didn't think about the fact that these crystals might have powered the Death Star super lasers, but it makes sense...... from a certain point of view. Grevious was particularly brutal in these ups as well ("Now you're sorry!"). I'm amazed that regardless of the situation they were able to keep Anakin and Grevious from actually encountering each other, thus keeping the continuity (mostly) intact with what seems to be their first face-to-face encounter in ROTS.
