Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2x20 Death Trap

Morale: "Who my father was matters less than my memory of him."

Synopsis: A young boy wages war against the Jedi Knights who left him orphaned, bitter and alone.

This episode airs Friday April 23, 2010 at 9pm on Cartoon Network.

Good episode. Nice to see Boba Fett finally debut in this series and I wasn't disappointed. He did more damage than the Seperatists. A highlight of this show was the continuing development of the clones, noticeably through the younger ones. Nice touch with Boba hesitating before shooting the unmasked clone trooper. Liked seeing Aurra Sing return too. She's bad to the bone. Admiral Kilan was Admiral Shrek.

I really thought they were going to kill the clone kids at the end. But that would have been too dark even for CW. We finally found out what they WON'T show on this show.

I think next week is going to be the really big stuff though.

Admiral Connery: "Today we crash into hista'ry!"

Good episode, I gotta wonder why the cadet's sergeant goes for the male-pattern baldness look.

I really liked how Lil' Boba was such an evil little bastard. Not a huge episode but a good one. I'd like to see how Boba and Aurra Sing hooked up.

One of the better episodes to come along for awhile (with the exception of "Cat and Mouse") IMHO. After Boba saw Jango beheaded by Mace Windu in AOTC, it seemed natural that- at some point- he would want to get revenge on Mace Windu and/or the Jedi, so it was cool to see such a (now) iconic character featured on the animated series try to take his revenge against Mace and see that even as a child, he is already quite cunning and resourceful (and dangerous). Even though his attempt to assassinate Mace was ultimately unsuccessful, his bringing down a Republic Cruiser was pretty significant. It was also, of course, cool to see Slave I again, as well as Aurra Sing and (briefly) the bounty hunter Bossk (last seen in ESB). I'm definitely looking forward to the season finale. I wonder if we will find out if that Admiral survived the crash of the cruiser? He was stubborn and arrogant almost to a fault and his decision to remain onboard while it was falling apart was just suicidal IMHO but I guess it is part of one of those sacred "codes" that Admirals/Captains cling to? I wonder if he was a Clone officer (doubtful) or, like Admiral Yularen, a commissioned officer in the Grand Army? It would be really cool if they would eventually feature Tarkin in a future episode or, even better but far less likely, Pelleon- who was also an officer who served in the Grand Army during the Clone Wars (according to the EU anyway)?

Good episode from what I saw, I was switching back and fourth between SyFy [watching Stargate Universe]

It just sucks that Boba wasn't the one who took down Mace in Episode III. Imagine. Mace enters Palpatine's quarters with the intent to arrest him. With 3 other Jedi with him, he approaches Palps much the same way as in the movie.

Out of nowhere, three blaster bolts strike down the Jedi. Boba as we know him appears out of the shadows. Palps uses the Darkside to freeze Mace, and Boba decapitates hum with a Vibro Axe.

Sensing a disturbance, Anakin rushes to Palps office. Palps informs him of the attempt on his life, and Boba's 'intervention'. Anakin decides to switch sides, and Boba becomes Vader's go to guy during the purge. Sort of explains their comradere in Empire.

Anyway. Loved the episode. Loved this whole season! Definately getting the Blu Ray. Looking foward to the finale next week.

One of the best episodes so far, in my opinion anyway. I liked how Boba is already a badass fighter but not "hardened" yet. His refusal to kill the clone because he looked like his father was a good touch. Loved seeing Slave One again and Aurra Sing too. Looking forward to next week.

It's Bossk. They mention that on the official site and magazine for a while now. Filoni has mentioned it as well.

Admiral Kilian wasn't a clone trooper. He was too old, too short, and had a different voice (Julian Holloway).

And it seemed like he was staying with the ship in order to try to arrange a safe landing.

Admiral "Killy" Kilian will be a hero after safely landing the cruiser in a harbor bay.

Good episode, but it brought up several questions in my mind, and was kind of a cop out at the end. Even if Boba had not killed the kids, Aura certainly would have.

I always thought that the clones were grown to adult size and age before they were released from their growth tubes. If they are in fact released into the world as kids to begin their training are they growing at an accelerated rate?

Also the Endurance was way too empty. They should have made mention that it was running with minimal crew or something. It would have helped explain the ease with which Boba moved around and disabled the ship.

You need to watch Episode 2 again. Kids clones were shown training/learning. And yes, they grow twice the rate of a normal human. The Kaminoans were growing them in waves, it seems.

I'm stilling trying to block most of Episode 2 out of my memories.

But I guess that makes sense, although just aging at double the normal rate seems too slow. Replacement clones would still take years to grow.

Yes, the Seperatists, churning out hundreds if not thousands of droids a day, would've overwhelmed the Republic.

Of course, they were being directed by the Sith, who had no intention of letting the Seperatists win...

Interesting idea about what could've been. I actually did (initially) think that Boba would be the one to end up killing Mace in revenge for killing Jango in AOTC but then again I thought it somewhat unlikely given his age. After seeing this episode, I don't think that it was THAT implausible of an idea after all- but I still like how Mace actually end up dying (and yes, I am of the opinion that he DID die).

I recall seeing a ROTS concept art picture entitled "Boba's revenge." GL ultimately dropped that and I think the way he went in the movie worked better.
