Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2x12 The Mandalore Plot

I remember hearing about Mandalorians long ago when the prequels were starting to come out... and how the Stormtrooper armor was rumored to be designed with elements of Boba Fett's armor which was inspired by Mandalorian armor... or something.

Anyway... terrific episode which washed the slow paced taste of "lightsaber lost" away.

I read once that Boba Fett came from early designs of Darth Vader, which had him as an intergalactic bounty hunter.

There's a throwaway line in the ESB novelization that Fett wore the armor of a group of warriors that had been defeated by the Jedi in the Clone Wars. So they go back a really long time in SW history.

One thing that has bothered me since I first saw the episode... Is that entire city inside that dome? Star Wars is known for it's "jump ahead effect" for the purpose of moving a story along, but I must be lacking some sense of scale considering how fast Obi-Wan's fighter appeared to approach and land on the outer port which is already stationed over halfway up the side of the dome. Naturally, the higher up you rise in a domed structure, the less area you're going to have to work with. His ride from the port to meet with the Duchess appears to be a pretty straight shot into the heart of that rather tall boxy city. I realize, however, that the city itself appears to be part of some greater enclosed structure. Of course, the dome's entire exterior is only ever seen from that rather narrow front angle, so we don't really yet know if there is anything jutting out on the other side. To me though, it just doesn't appear large enough to hold that entire ginormous city, even if all of those boxy structures are built right up against the curvature of the dome itself. That landing port is either much larger than it appears, or I am missing some key ingredient.
