Didn't see a thread for this:

Wookiepedia:
When Anakin is gravely injured in battle, Jedi General Aayla Secura must teach Ahsoka the Jedi philosophy of having no personal attachments -- while they brave the hostile planet in search of medical help for the Jedi Knight.

Aayla is French, who knew? Took a bit of getting used to.

Damn those clone troopers die easy.

That battle was a mess. How were the gunship open to air that high in the atmosphere...Ashoka would freeze her midriff, not to mention oxygen. And their plan with the gunships was what?

Poor 21-B droid didn't survive the crash.

Interesting the command droid for the Seperatists.

Lots of South American-feeling world music, too.

An okay episode. The opening battle was cool, the rest was okay, but...how many starship crashes can they do?

Great episode. I look forward to seeing more of Aayla for several reasons. The British woman doing a French accent was pretty weird though. I loved that opening atmo battle/crash, that was just gorgeous. I also liked the peacenik lemurs, even if it directly ripped off something I wrote two years ago, sigh.

Very much enjoyed it. This show gets better week by week.

I just realized something watching this week - I LOVE that this show has a new orchestral score episode to episode. VERY good!

Apparently this is the first time she's ever had a speaking role on camera, so she could've been anything.

She used the Force to protect her, the same way Obi-Wan and Anakin protected themselves from the lava heat in Episode III. ;)

Maybe this planet had a much taller air column, with denser and warmer air at high altitude.

Great episode. I look forward to seeing more of Aayla for several reasons.

I suspect many people look forward to seeing her for two reasons in particular... and said "reasons" certainly were not downplayed in her animated design. Her face was oddly gaunt, but then, who was looking at her face?

The British woman doing a French accent was pretty weird though.

British? She was voiced by Jennifer Hale, who's Canadian.

It was nice to have a character speaking out against violence. Although it looks like next week is going to do the inevitable "Amish who won't defend themselves against attackers" story.

Yes, but look at it this way we get George Takei.

And remember its pronounced "Tak-ay. Like toupee or too gay."

It's kinda interesting how we've been getting a fairly 'ethnic' feeling for the whole series. Like with Kit Fisto sounding like Bob Marley, the musical score taking on various styles. I love this series.

I voted "average", as the majority of the episode (after the opening battle) was a bit boring. Yes, there was some good "morality questions" going on in that part, but for the most part I found that part a bit tedious. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at some of the reasoning of the lemurs for being peaceniks. Reminds me of some of the pussy liberals we have here on Planet Earth.

But the opening battle was awesome! Wished more of the episode was like that. But I'm getting a sense that this series is becoming a collection of 2- and 3-parters. And the first parts may just be set-ups for the more exciting second and/or third parts. Kind of like "Bombad Jedi" and "Rising Malevolence" were for their conclusions.

I have a hard time rating individual episodes as I find the entire series to be quite excellent so far; Hell, even Jar Jar is a good fit. If I were to have any complaints, it would be that stupid armor that Anakin and Obi Wan are always wearing. Get rid of that, and the show would be visually perfect.

Really? I kind of like the bridging between the Clone Wars Jedi armor and Vader's suit.

Wow, I never even notriced that.

One thing I did like was the Vader respirator breathing sound when Anakin was lying unconscious in the sickbay.

I am LOVING all these little touches that either bridge or remind you of the OT.

Yep. I enjoy those, and there are even nice touches on the prequel trilogy. I mean, aside from using all of the characters. ;) The show does a great job of combining the two trilogies.

Shoehorning Ahsoka between films is still a little weird, but they have plenty of time to work that out. I'm assuming the ratings are decent enough to continue.

Yeah, I picked up on that; I still don't much care for it, Jedi don't need no stinkin' armor. Like I said though it's my only real complaint. Otherwise, it's a great show. Hell it's a great show period, something that trivial doesn't hinder my enjoyment.

I have a feeling that not long from now Luke with find Ahsoka in the Expanded Universe...

They should ultimately end the show with her demise. not only would it add poignancy, but it would seriously diminish the chances of her showing up thirty years later as the Sith apprentice of Darth Windu. And no, Mace isn't dead. He's off splitting a beer with Boba Fett and the Clone Emperor.

I love the Jedi wearing clone armor, I think its a great visual. I wish they wore it in ROTS. Interesting that Jennifer Hale is Canadian; every time I hear her in a video game or a cartoon she's doing a British accent. She'll always be Bastilla to me! ;)

Really? Surprising. Most of the roles I know her from are American accents. I just watched a Justice League DVD in which she played three characters in two consecutive stories -- Inza, Giganta, and Killer Frost -- all of whom had American (or North American) accents, as does Zatanna, a role she also portrays later in the series. Same for Felicia Hardy/Black Cat on the '90s Spider-Man, Princess and Ms. Keane in Powerpuff Girls, Emerald Empress in Legion of Super Heroes, Avatar Kyoshi on Avatar, etc. I can hear her voice with an English accent in my head, so I must have heard her doing it somewhere, but I can't think of a single specific character of hers who was British.
