And once again I must wonder why didn't you have Aayla around to liberate her own homeworld?

I wondered that myself. She would've been the perfect Jedi Knight to lead the final push against Tambor's army but, more importantly, convincing the resistance fighter and the Senator to agree to work together. I mean, it was nice to see Mace in a more action-oriented role......finally....but still if any episode called for the involvement of a particular Jedi character (in this case, Secura) it would've been this one IMHO. Maybe the Jedi Council thought that she might not be able to be objective enough to lead the offensive on this mission since it involved her own people?

^ they may have feared she'd fall to the dark side because of a personal attachment to her own people.

Or maybe Aayla simply wasn't available. It's a big galaxy, the Jedi are spread all over, and they go where they're needed rather than sticking close to their home territory. Given the exigencies of war, I think it would be quite a coincidence if Aayla had just happened to be in the same galactic vicinity as her homeworld when it was occupied.

^

Yeah I assume these Jedi generals are tied up in campaigns. And there is sort of a rotation between generals on time on the front lines vs. R & R.

The OOC reason is because the character model didn't exist yet. Despite the airdate, these three episodes were put together before Aayla's episode was created.

^^ That might explain why Aayla looked so much better and more detailed than all the Twi'leks we saw in this trilogy.

A more interesting question is, what happened to the Trade Federation (Neimodians)

IIRC, according to the SW.com databank, a lot of Neimoidians hid out on Duros and pretended to be Duros because of their unpopularity...
