Star Wars Spin-Offs

As I suggested back when the first inkings of this came out:
That does sound pretty bad-ass! Always wanting more Mace.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a live action Ahsoka Tano. After leaving the Order, she then watches from seclusion as the galaxy descends into evil and darkness, with her former master, mentor and friend at the forefront destroying everything he had taught her to protect and safeguard. Looking at her own internal struggle to deal with what is happening--with all that Anakin is doing conflicting with her conscience, questioning if she would've been able to bring him back from the Dark Side, worrying about her own fortitude against evil, etc--whilst trying to live off the grid and avoid the Empire, though never quite able to get away from doing the right thing and helping those in need.

Heh, on that note... look up an actress called Emily Browning.

Here, I'll save you the bother:

A few months ago on another board I saw a person suggest her as a good match for a live action AT portrayal. After looking at her I realised that this was pretty much bang on. Her facial resemblance is uncanny. And since then, I can hardly imagine anyone else for the role.

She also went through a load of sword and action training for the movie Sucker Punch, see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7leHv3d11E so she's already well into the kind of conditioning and co-ordination and stuntery needed to shoot Jedi action scenes in a Star Wars show.
I see no reason Asoka couldn't be a part of Windu's motley crew. :)

As I suggested back when the first inkings of this came out:

"Seven Samurai" with Jedi. Set a few years after RotS, Survivors of the purge (and friends) are gathered up by a grizzled, old, one-armed Mace Windu (going under an assumed name) who has been hunted down by a force-sensitive kid in the hopes of fending off the Imperial invasion of an outer-rim planet where the first inklings of a serious Rebellion has begun to form in earnest. An Alamo-esque finale (and death of these last few Jedi) kick-starts these beginnings of the Rebel Alliance.

Sorry but then i'd rather watch Seven Samurai than a remake with lightsabres.

Personally i'd like to see a movie on how the Jedi were formed, i.e. their very early days and how they discovered the Force and possibly how the split between Jedi and Sith happened.

Boba Fett could also be interesting but could take away the mystery of the movie version. Then again that ship may have sailed after the first trilogy and giggling young Fett when his father was dogfighting Ben Kenobi in the asteroid field :(

Also i believe a Yoda movie could work given that i sincerely believe that his speech pattern is just a ploy to make people listen to him more intensely to be able put the words in the right order so they have to think twice about what Yoda said. I'd like to really drop that on the public and it would explain how a 900 year old, wise and intelligent being could master the force but not something so simple like basic grammar.

Another interesting story could be about an Imperial soldier who bit by bit turns away from the Empire and to the Rebellion when he (or she) sees more and more of the atrocities committed by them.. there are many characters on the EU who have made that switch.

Heck.. Han Solo was one an Imperial officer!

And to top it off.. a Han Solo stand alone movie (and it can only work if they pull off a miracle and find the one mid 20s actor who can be accepted as a worthy successor to Harrison Ford's role which might be impossible).

If Mace comes back he should definitely be killed off for real by BOBA FETT.

Personally, I think it would be nice to see Darth Vader kill off some (adult) Jedi. Maybe not in a Seven Samurai type movie, but I definitely think it's needed.

Yeah, Vader needs some redemption after the prequels. I don't think you could do a whole movie about him, but seeing him be a badass villain again and fight someone who's a threat to him would help remove the stupid stuff he's been saddled with because of the prequels.

Well, I know they want an inbetween series featuring the early days of the rebellion. Would be nice to have Vader kill some of the surviving Jedi in that.

It wouldn't be a remake. It is taking a similar premise and running with it in a new direction. "Seven Samurai with Jedi" is just a catchy byline, like "Wagon Train to the stars."
