Chapter 2 - Continued

Promised to over a thousand worlds, Ayura was intended to be the last in the line of the great Emperors and Empresses of the many Galactic Empires, Republics, Dominions and Federations of the millennia to have gone before. Ayura’s ascension to power also being more symbolic than in days of old, where she would have been supreme sovereign and ruler, with power over the many worlds and peoples of the galaxy - the lives of trillions within her hands; the overlord of often historically conquered worlds, of subjugated, raped and pillaged worlds.

Some worlds became a part of the Empire so long ago that they had long forgotten the crimes of the past which had led to their absorption and assimilation in to the expansive conglomeration of planets and star systems ruled over by the Viceroys of the Empire. Other worlds did join the Galactic Empire willingly, tempted by trade and riches, though most were often bribed or even coerced with the threat of the Empires might and force, the Storm Troopers and Imperial Royal Guards, and now the Force Troopers with their fleets of Force Wing Fighters and Reaper Star Destroyers. The ominous hulk of the Va’Jra Death Star’s partially constructed shell having become symbolic of the Empires might over the hundreds of years since its construction began. A Force weapon not only designed as a symbol of combined strength and power, to one day protect the Empire and its members from what had been foretold by scholars and prophets in ancient legends and mythology - the Shi’Vana’Ka, but also to instill fear in to those within the Empire who may wish to rise up and stand against the enforced rules of intergalactic law and order, the hierarchy of power.

The historical crimes of the Empire and its rulers throughout the cosmos under their many guises and titles were too great and immeasurable, though Ayura’s fate would be to help with repatriations and to symbolically put an end to the Empire through her ascension and dissolution as Empress. Promised through marriage to a thousand worlds, the riches of the Empire were to be distributed equally amongst all species through matrimonial contract to the rulers of these worlds; the equal distribution of wealth and power, the destruction of the final Galactic Empires pyramid of power and the creation of a new equality between all worlds, worlds which were also beginning to show the final stages of balance and harmony with the Force - the dissolution of the Jedi and the Sith, with Force Guardians, with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ being formed to take their place in these new times of intergalactic harmony and peace.

The intention was for a new galactic dawn, for the once thought impossible achievement of intergalactic peace and equality with a new shared cooperation between all worlds.

Ayura was free, for now.

As much as Ayura could not avoid her fate in becoming Empress, her birthright, or as some would even say, a curse, she could not avoid her ultimate constructed fate either. For Ayura was also to be put to death upon her ascension, thus ending the Galactic Empire’s bloodline and contractually shedding all of its wealth and power through marital inheritance throughout the galaxy, great wealths that would be inflated upon distribution through interplanetary banking consortium’s and colossal insurance policies in order to make repatriations with agreed monetary interest and returns for those looted by the Empire in the past, also accounting for Galactic hyper inflation. The treasures of the worlds were to be returned to their homes, the crimes and sins of the Empire would be symbolically atoned. But some crimes can never be atoned for, though time may be more forgiving. As long as the mistakes and terrible actions of the past are remembered as a lesson, lessons from history which are never to be repeated or celebrated again.

Ayura continued to run, the intricately beautiful and delicate leaves of flora and flowers becoming ever thicker and courser as she travelled deeper in to the jungle. Stumbling over intertwined vines trailing along the soil beneath her feet as she ran aimlessly, dodging decaying logs and moss covered rocks. The darkness began to envelop Ayura as the foliage became increasingly thicker and the jungles canopy became more dense.

As the jungle became ever more impenetrable, Ayura began to feel the scraping of thorns against her skin, the stabbing of branches in to her body. As the humidity increased and the temperature rose, the sounds of the jungle, a symphony of wind, water, weather and animals began to overwhelm.

But Princess Ayura was free.
