Star Wars Rebels Season One (spoilers)

Yeah, I really don't expect the crew of the Ghost to hang around Lothal forever. My guess is they'll be forced to abandon the planet entirely by season's end.

Except they're currently not handling it. To me it seems more realistic that the Empire would react with overwhelming force. Rather than go the usual cartoon route of trying a different "This plan can't fail!" every week, only to be defeated with the bad guy grumbling and going making "I'll get you next time!" threats.

But have they actually done anything major enough yet to attract that kind of attention from the Empire?

Well let's see. Apart from being a general nuisance, they've attacked a training facility, killed any number of troopers and destroyed ships and vehicles. They deprived the Empire of a Kaibur (sp?) crystal, blown up at least two cargo ships, and an important fighter prototype.

On top of that, the Inquisitor has direct orders from Lord Vader to eliminate any surviving Jedi.

The Inquisitor say that his master will not be pleased the last time around. This means more effort against the Rebel in the near future, or else the Imperial Navy will be sending more ships with one annoyed Dark Lord of the Sith in command.

I'm thinking they may have needed to leave Lothal already... The Inquisitor knows that Ezra is Force-sensitive, he knows the Ghost up close pretty well and has encountered Kanan a few times as well. And then all the stuff that went down on Empire Day? I think they may need to find a new base of operations - fast!

Mind you, Vader wasn't originally supposed to be Anakin Skywalker, he was supposed to be another Jedi that Kenobi trained, just as he said. The thing about retcons is that they frequently leave such logical oddities.

I'd always thought of Vader would have been best played by Colm Feore--the lord Marshall

Are there any episodes with a focus on droids or robots?

Edit: I loved the episodes in Clone Wars with the Magna Guards and the Commando Droids!!

The first episode after the 2 part pilot.

"Droids in Distress"

The episode features the crew of the Ghost intercepting a shipment of weapons intended for the Galactic Empire. Along the way, they inadvertently pick up C-3PO and R2-D2, who are on a secret mission from Senator Bail Organa to prevent the weapons from falling into Imperial hands. The rebels continue to be chased by Agent Kallus of the Imperial Security Bureau, while Garazeb Orrelios deals with grief over the near-extinction of his people. In the end, R2-D2 provides Organa—who will become one of the founders of the Alliance to Restore the Republic—with information about the rebels and their activities.

Thanks to the marathon I was able to get caught up on the regular episodes, but I still haven't seen Spark of Rebellion.
So I wonder if this stuff with Ezra's parents will be an ongoing thing?
It was kind of nice to see them go back to the planet from Out of Darkness in the last one. It also had a pretty great fight between Ezra, Kanan, and The Inquisitor.
So have their been any theories going around about who Fulcrum is? I'm assuming they wouldn't make such a big mystery of it if he wasn't someone we're familiar with?

Well whoever it is they're using a familar looking ship.

I missed that. I have to admit, Bail Organa was my first thought. Especially since they already introduced him on the show, and it makes sense that you would want to introduce him before the reveal, just in case there are some people watching who aren't familiar with the character.

The Corellian Corvette (or Rebel Blockade Runner) is suppose to be a common ship. In Rebels we have seen two so far (Bail Organa's and Fulcrum's). Each is painted differently. One like we saw in Revenge of the Sith, and one as we saw in A New Hope.

There were I think three seen at the Battle of Endor.

Fulcrum could be anyone, but if they are hiding the identity for a reason, that reason is that it is probably someone the audiance would know (or at least some of the fans might recognize). That provides a few possibilities. With Bail Organa probably not being one of them due to the voice being suspected of being a voice changer. Mon Mothma. Leia Organa. Winter (for the EU crowd). Ashoka Tano. There are a few others, but those are the ones that fit the need for a cover and having contacts to get stuff done.

Ezra may be abandoning his slingshot stunner thingie soon:

The article seems to balk at such a hybrid weapon, but I don't see why not - frankly it's something that could have been done a lot sooner. Jedi use fighters and command legions of starships blasting away, why refrain from some sort of ranged weapon if the need arises? There were samurai archers and cannoniers, after all.

Besides, the blaster part seems literally bolted on anyway, and operated with a separate switch (per the toy at least), so it may just be an improvised addition thanks to Ezra, perhaps after he builds his own saber.

Mark

Hopefully in the final version of that saber Ezra will be able to grip the hilt with both hands. Because otherwise it seems like it'd be a really hard thing to swing around in combat.

Pretty cool to hear that Frank Oz will be voicing Yoda in an upcoming episode.

a time when the few surviving Jedis are in hiding from the Empire

 Sigh. Why do journalists assigned to write articles on SW always do this? The plural of Jedi is Jedi.
This problem isn't limited to Star Wars.

"Data" for "datum" is one a see quite often as well.
