Star Wars Novel Question?

I'm in the minority in that I really enjoyed Legacy of the Force. It wasn't perfect, and there are things I didn't care for, but overall I thought it was an enjoyable story about the rise and fall of Darth Caedus (Jacen Solo). A few problems that immediately spring to mind have to do with the finale: the last book was too short and pushed the Galactic Civil War into the background, and it felt rushed to have Jaina be the one to take down Caedus, when it really should have been Ben. I always felt he was the Legacy in the series' title, but instead, the title was about... nothing.

And I'm liking Fate of the Jedi, even if I was sick of young Jedi going crazy by the 3rd book. Abeloth is a cool threat and the Lost Tribe are an interesting twist on the concept.

Now, Millennium Falcon I didn't care for at all, and same with Crosscurrent (although I may give the latter another chance...).

I just got done reading Crosscurrent and loved it, so I would reccommend going back and re-reading it and giving it a second try.

You should read it if you are famililiar with the Old Republic comics since the early 90s.

It does not matter if you hate FOTJ.

Its in a different timeline by a different author.

The Darth Bane books are worth reading. They don't feature any movie characters but they're good reads.

all so on the knight errant series the comics and the books coincide with each other and are fantastic reads. as far as the lost tribe series fantastic reading and there will be a new one next month can't wait. and there is all so a new old republic comic out called the lost sun. 5 issue run check it out # 1 is all ready out.

I was just thrilled to hear that Del Rey/Bantam Spectra will be releasing their entire Star Wars library in ebook form later this month. Their ebook releases have been really spotty, even for books released over the past few years.

I'm trilled to see them catching up with the times. I know many people don't care for ebooks, and I used to be one of them, but I've done a complete 180 and read almost exclusively on my ereader these days.

Kudos to Del Rey/Bantam Spectra. Thanks guys!

Yeah, I was really happy when I saw that too. I've been frustarted because I've been wanting to check out alot more SW books, but I also wanted to switch over to as close to 100% ebooks as I could get. Now I can finally due that. If I could just find the Bond books as officially relased ebooks, I think would be at 100% digital.

Just a quick question but what's the general opinion of Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor. I picked it up a few days ago, read the briefing/prologue and plan on reading it once I finally read what I am. But before I do, was just curious if it's any good even though as I've said enough in the past, that's all subjective.

The term jump the shark is referring to when something has had it. When it's time to call it a day and give up. Star Wars has jumped the shark.

The term comes from Happy Days when Fonzie jumped the shark.

Can't ever use the term "nuking the fridge" as it comes from urban dictionary which jumped the shark even before it was put up. Urban dictionary is garbage.
