The Jedi Academy was having a rugby game, masters vs padawans, with Yoda refereeing.
Anakin was about to carry the ball over the goal line when Obi Wan crashed into him, knocking the ball out of bounds and kicking Anakin in the shin.
Anakin complained that Obi Wan did it on purpose, while Obi Wan claimed it was an accident, saying that he slipped on the dewy grass.
After much deliberation, Yoda declared that the play was dead, or as he explained, "Dew, or dew not, there is no try."
(For people unfamiliar with rugby, a scoring play (rugby touchdown) is called a try.)

Wikipedia said:A try is a way of scoring points in rugby union and rugby league football. A try is scored by grounding the ball in the opposition's in-goal area (on or behind the goal line).
