Star Wars Fighter <GASP!>

I decided on building a Star Wars ship today. I'm calling this a C-Wing. It's not very large at 10 metres long, and about 2 metres high.

I still need guns and all the external detail Star Wars is so good at...

Oh wow...love the sweeping wing shape...it reminds me a little bit of something I did years ago for a (ridiculous) dead project...anyway, the somewhat newer sketches are horribly quick and dirty (cell-phone scanned).

Very Nice work, have you done any more on that "Vulcan/Fed" ship? I really liked that design.

Yay- but 26 is a lot of ships! And there can be maybe something like an A-wing mkI, MkII, MkV- not unlike say an old Spitfire...

Are you referring to the old series, or a specific comic book series? I haven't seen Buck Rogers since I was a little wee lad. Crap! Now I sound old- I just said Wee Lad!

I can see where your coming from there. But even the Cylon ship has a Star Warsy look to it- paint it up- add some more external gribbles, and we may have something there...

What did you use to make it?

Google SketchUp. I love it except for the difficulties I'm having with lights and surface texture. Now I'd like spend time putting manually putting on the detail, aside from painting on something that makes something look textured, but it can really be time consuming...

^^^ I was referring to Hawk's ship from BR season two. I was one year old when the show tanked, but I have the DVD's. To be fair, this doesn't really look anything like it, but it just reminded me of it. And it also reminds me of the old school Cylon Raiders. Both Glen Larson productions though.....

Actually if you up sized it and made it more like the Millennium Falcon as far as greebly scale, it would be a pretty neat freighter. But it's a good fighter too I guess. Can't wait to see it with it's guns!
