One of the most interesting things for me to watch as more elements of this triology unfolds is if JJ earns the wrath he got from some Trek fans and adherence to canon or not of heretofore film/books.
It's just an impression but Wars fans tend to be far less critical on things like, 'blue nacells,' as some Trek fans can be related to minor details.
In fact I was horrified to read in the recent Making of Jedi book that they actually made a giant bonfire out of it afterwards. Here's hoping they find a way to preserve this new one (and perhaps install it at a Disney park afterwards), since it's the last one that'll probably ever be built.
After 188 days of shooting, Luhrmann left the Sydney studios--but he wasn't finished. He had to make way for McGregor's next movie--Star Wars: Episode II. "It was depressing to go on that quickly: I was yearning for more," says McGregor. "[Moulin Rouge] was so emotionally charged to make. I've never been happier to do anything in my life." Which explains why McGregor sounds angry recalling the wrecking balls that demolished the Moulin Rouge set. "That was awful. I resent [Star Wars] for that," he says. "[The set] could have been put up somewhere else and used as a club or something. It was that fabulous."
No. There is no version where he dies. There is however a fake version of the ROTJ screenplay that does have that.
What a piece of junk!
And to think it's 30 years older now. Junkheap. What a piece of junk!
She'll make point-five past lightspeed. She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid.
