Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

That Leia tidbit is the perfect example of the redirection that they're throwing at us. They have us so busy thinking about how she's a General that we're forgetting the the only question about her name that really matters: Is it General Organa or is it General Solo?

OK I think the two things I'm most curious about in the movie now are Snoke and Kanata. Not just their visuals, but who they are and how they're important.

So I just saw this Duracell Star Wars commercial. Has anyone else seen the "spoiler" content in the commercial?

So the ABC "TGIT" Shonda Rhimes Block finally showed the new TFA footage! :adore:

This after doing nothing SW-related in the previous two hours except subjecting the viewers to clips we've already seen from the last trailer intercut with the stars of the shows doing things like comparing themselves to Jedi and making Chewbacca noises. :barf:

The Duracell ad shows a little girl, dressed as Rey use the Force.
It could be nothing, but I'd wager the advertisers got confirmation about Rey's abilities before making their commercial.

The electropole weapons carried by at least a few First Order Stormtroopers remind me of the electropoles wielded by the droid bodyguards of General Grievous in Episode III. I'd heard that such weapons might be used by the First Order in the new film but this might be the first visual confirmation that they get to see action.

Yep. I caught the "spoiler" in the Duracell add, too. It's cute. It could be just the kids' "imaginations," but I suspect it's more than that. I was actually going to mention it myself, on finding a reference. Thanks for posting.

The new trailer is pretty cool. It was interesting to see that at least one Stormtrooper is prepared to defend against a lightsaber.

I was replying to a comment that has (apparently) since been edited about what is being used to block Finn's lightsaber.

The EW article says that Kanata is the alien with the goggles in the poster. It also says that she is 1000 years old, so I'm thinking she's going to be the Yoda type wise old alien.
Here's the Luke article from yesterday. EW also says there's a new article about Hux and Starkiller Base coming out later today.
EDIT:
Starkiller Base and General Hux: New details on the dark side of The Force Awakens
