Maybe it's a weird kind of core like Naboo's.

It's powered by red matter.

I always took the "planet's core" comment by Boss Nass to be referring to deep waters, not actually going through the planetary core.

But, that was just me. I cannot find any information, canon or non, that indicates the Gungan city's location in relationship to Theed.

What if Luke's already dead?

It will be interesting to see what path Luke has taken. I had an idea that Luke ends up saving Finn from Kylo and that might be his reveal. But, that is just my own theory.

Could be but i don't want a repeat of JJs first Star Trek when Kirk just happens to be ejected over the right planetoid to find Spock AND Scotty (one of the few gripes i have with that movie). There better be a damn good reason why Luke is suddenly appearing in the middle of the fight to save the new heroes ass.

Otherwise i'm very curious how Finn gets ahold of the lightsabre and if he can stand up to Kylo Ren (i don't think Stormtroopers get trained in sword fighting much less where he will get Jedi training if Luke is missing).

Unless the First Order stormtroopers receive some measure of sword training, similar to the original conception of them by McQuarrie.

I have no doubts that they will have a good reason for Luke to be where he is, and show up when he does. Regardless of Abrams' inclinations, I have a great deal of confidence in Kasdan to connect it all together.

Cool....I did see that in a preview for Season 2 (which I'll have to wait for on Blu-Ray, or Netflix).

Is Season 1 ever coming to Netflix in the US?

They don't even have it on disc, which is really weird. I could see if it was some small show that nobody cares about, but this is Star Wars, I don' know how they could have not gotten it on disc or streaming. It's been out since September too, so it's not to new for them to have it.

Ever since the very first teaser I've though the cybernetic hand reaching out to touch Artoo's dome belongs to Luke, and I guess in the 30-odd years since Jedi he's either received a new model to replace the original that was surgically installed after the battle on Cloud City or has long since removed the artificial flesh from the hand, exposing the underlying metal and circuitry (which would echo the look of his father's artificial arm before his reconstruction as Darth Vader).

One of the rumors was that the hand reaching out to touch Artoo belongs to the character played by Max von Sydow and Sydow just might be a former Jedi Knight old enough to have been alive and active during the Prequels and the Clone Wars, but I'll stick with the Luke theory until shown otherwise.

As for the planet shown in that clip, Mustafar would be a cool place to revisit (no pun intended) were Luke or another character to go to the planet to more fully understand what happened to Darth Vader at the time of his conversion to evil, but Star Wars is a big enough galaxy that there can easily be other volcanically-active worlds our heroes and other characters can travel to.

That's one of the theories in fan circles, actually. von Sydow is Kanan Jarrus as an old man and that something happens between the current events on Rebels and Episode VII that results in him going into hiding as something of a hermit, observing the events in the galaxy from a distance.

There's been talk since TFA first went into production that the new film and Rebels will have a fairly significant connection and share a character, but nothing's ever been remotely confirmed by the producers of either.

People in the Star Wars universe need to start learning: don't touch the Skywalker family lightsaber unless you want to risk losing a body part. If I were Finn I'd put on some gloves or Force-levitate that thing just to be on the safe side.
