Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

Quite so. Lieutenant Sheckil should count, too. Despite not having any lines, he was masterfully defined by Bulloch as ruthless but overconfident.

IG-88 is pretty close to being my favorite non-speaking character in the OT. He had amazing presence. Pretty scary.

And when you know the backstory of the IG-series assassin droids he becomes even more sinister and intimidating as a character. The ESB bounty hunters are some of the most memorable supporting or background characters to appear in any sci-fi/fantasy film.

This is pro'ly old news to you all, but I just watched a video blurb on CNN about a discovery of a seemingly legit Original Draft of the script for "A New Hope", featuring Luke Starkiller. Turns out it ended up in a shipment authorized for digitizing and cataloging/archiving. It was pretty cool to see!

Of course you're all forgetting a few other villains from TESB (and I'm shocked at you all!):

Probe droid
Wampa
Space slug that tried to eat the Millenium Falcon
Water monster that swallowed Artoo

Yes. The Dagobah Dragonsnake.

I saw them open for another band once. They weren't too bad.

In a sense, TESB was really the story of Dengar. I'm not going to tell you in which sense... but, in a sense. :shifty:

Do the terrible 1979 haircuts and sideburns on some of the Rebels and Imperials count as villainous?

Even since I first saw TESB at the age of ten in 1980, I was always a bit confused and concerned that the unseen shooter that blasts Threepio on Cloud City sounded an AWFUL lot like Yoda!

Yeah, if that was meant to be an Imperial Stormtrooper's voice right before Threepio gets blasted then some of the Emperor's best shock troops were pretty heavy smokers. That, or Grover from Sesame Street had an unseen cameo and we never knew it.
