Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

I just know that when chalk outlines are drawn in a restaurant it's usually not a good sign. :)

On that, I can agree. And sorry that you saw such things.

Oh, I'm just joking and playing on a common Waffle House stereotype. I've never seen chalk body outlines there. I hope I never do!

Agreed completely.

We have a Waffle House close by, and I keep telling my roomie: "We have to go there some time!" Because I do remember that I loved the food there...and it is MUCH closer than the local IHOP! :)

While not totally relevant, there is an image that has been around for a few days that showed up on StarWars.com about the fandom. A iamge that shows just how big Darth Vader's super star destroyer actually is. It is the size of Manhattan.

So I wonder if the shots of Kylo and Finn igniting their lighters actually go together like that.

I wonder if this means we'll be getting another trailer soon? It seems like a tease cut out of a longer trailer.

Has anybody posted the story about BB-8's creation yet?
Apparently the free rolling BB-8 that was saw at last year's celebration was not actually used in the movie.

I'm not sure if this has been posted but the first TFA opening weekend estimates are out. They believe it could open as high as $600 million worldwide with $300mil domestic alone.

It's feasible but I'm guessing somewhere around $275 (on the high end) domestic myself.

I do have to point out that Finn is still doing the heavy breathing thing in this shot. :D

Maybe it's his signature.....

I think its neat we get another glimpse of the "forest/Irish coast" planet from the first trailer.

So that's the icy planet - the Frozen forest planet, Jakku the desert planet, and the foresty/Irish coast planet.

We know that the bad guys and (according to the toys the good guys) interact on the ice planet, Kylo Ren and Finn are at least lighting up their sabers on the frozen forest planet (might be the same planet) Rey and Poe Dameron are on the foresty/Irish coast planet, and Rey/Finn and presumably Han/Chewie have scenes on Jakku.

So cool!

As for opening weekend - I agree with the 1 billion prediction. This movie will be huge, and all the IMAX and 3-D sales will drive up the revenue. Disney is going to have a VERY good 4th quarter.
