Over a much shorter time- it makes perfect sense that more noticable changes would have happened over a longer time.

Like aging.

Real shock will be when we find out it's been scalled up 500% and now houses thousands of people. Thankfully, JJ wouldn't do anything like that... ;)

I suspect the change will have something to do with having lost the dish outright in ROTJ. Just sayin'. :p

Maybe Han was thinking of the Radar dish when he had that funny feeling in ROTJ :)


The Falcon (in CGI of course) made a small cameo in ROTS-you can see it docking at the senate building along with Anakin and Obi-Wan after the space battle. Two ships of the same class also appear on Naboo's spaceport in AOTC when Anakin and Padme arrive.

The ROTS Falcon basically had blue markings and looked cleaner and less dinged up then it's OT counterpart.

There are a few changes in and out of the Falcon inbetween the OT movies as well, such as the cockpit door which possibly squished Harrison Ford's leg.

He probably had Lando pay for the replacement. That'll teach him to hotrod all over the insides of a colossal battle station without any insurance.

Apparently the cloak was just a concept idea that didn't make it to the final movie. Which is kind of a shame, because I think it's a really cool look.

And the second one would definitely be an awesome visual in the movie. Especially if that green lightsaber is being used by who I hope is using it... ;)

If that image is the real deal then I've seen much worse from the franchise, and in just the last decade. I kinda like the gleaming, polished metal look.

ROTS also had concept art armor with similar designs (Which eventually I believe were made into hasbro figures).


The second concept art actually reminds me a bit of the desert duel in TPM(which itself was inspired by a scene in an early draft of Star Wars).

Rewatching TPM recently, I forgot just how cool that desert duel was. It's very very short but exciting as hell.

And I have to admit I'm finally understanding why fans generally seem to prefer TPM to AOTC now. The movie is still deadly dull in places, but the story at least flows a lot better and feels a bit more like old school SW than the jumbled and chaotic AOTC.

(Sorry, don't mean to turn this into another prequel thread) :p

Episode I had more than a few cool, exciting moments and the Tatooine lightsaber confrontation was certainly one of them and well-staged. They just get lost in the discussions and debates over the bad and cheesy moments of the film and to some fans, the bad and cheesy moments of the film comprise 100% of the movie.

I liked Attack of the Clones better.. Geonosis was a cool battle, and I liked learning about the history of the troopers.

That said, it should have been much better.

George, if you are writing a movie where in a guy is protecting a girl, but her (or both of them) in constant danger
