Yep! "Qui-Gon's Noble End."
Seems about the only thing not revealed about the plot of Episode I before its release was that Senator Palpatine and Darth Sidious were one and the same person, but even that wasn't really a newsflash for those of us who recognized the name Palpatine from action figures and other materials and knew that was the name of the future Emperor.

Even then, I suspect it will mostly just be the closeups of Chewie that utilize Mayhew. If Abrams has the character running around and being as active in his movies as he was in the OT, it'll most likely have to be a different actor in the costume, since I just don't really see Mayhew being up for that kind of thing anymore.
Kind of like they could only put Kenny Baker in R2 for a handful of shots in the PT, because he just wasn't strong enough to wiggle the suit around like he used to.

Daniels (Threepio) hasn't been officially confirmed, but as I said earlier in the thread he all but told a convention audience that he was indeed going to be in Episode VII. Now we just have to wait for the official studio word that Anthony's returned.

I wonder if they aren't deliberately doling out the announcements this way. Generate some excitement by announcing these fan-favorite secondary characters before rolling out the big news about the main cast and the returning "Big Three".

Actually it sounds to me like they're just reluctantly confirming what certain actors (like Mayhew) have already let slip out. If it was up to the studio, they'd probably prefer to wait and announce everybody all at once.

She's one of the oldest existing and most-recognized names from the EU so I imagine she'd be one of the more likely characters from the books to make an appearance in the new trilogy. Given that there've been multiple action figures of her over the years and she was the wife of Luke Skywalker she definitely has a strong fan following.
People really want their Mara Jade, I guess.

Even people who don't give a Bantha's ass about the books know who she is. That matters. Whether it means she'll be in the new movie remains to be seen.
