News Star Trek's Anthony Rapp Is Being Attacked By Internet Losers For Exposing Kevin Spacey

Why didn't he speak up for 30 years? He should be charged for not reporting this for so long.

Oh sorry, I thought I was in Alabama.

You mean a 14 year old boy didn't want to tell people a famous male actor molested him? For shame!

Yeah, I don't like it if my favorite shows are canceled because of sexual assault allegations. But you know who's to blame? THE ASSAULTER.

This is why men like Spacey were able to get away with this for years. There's always someone willing to protect them and attack their victims.

And there are people like Bryan Singer who are surrounded by accusations of diddling teenage boys for years, and nothing happens to them.
People like Corey Feldman, Milo Yiannopoulos, Elijah Wood are brushed aside or ignored or attacked for raising the issue.

I personally believe the press, social media, and hollywood needs to drop the whole thing with Kevin Spacey. This happened 30 years ago, and people are getting into a frenzy over it now. From the reports nothing really sexually happened between them and Anthony was free to leave after he refused to let it go further. Anthony Rapp did not speak of it until this year and did not do nothing back then. No criminal charges were never made, and time is well past the statute of limitations for what would had been dismissed by the courts because it may have not got to the point of sexual contact. The details of how Kevin touched Anthony are vague in the news reports. Nothing about private parts touched or attempts to remove clothing. It seems people are now giving their verdict with Kevin Spacey being guilty without knowing all the facts what really happened.

My Verdict: Case Dismissed for lack of evidence and time passed the statute of limitations.

Rapp talked about this incident in the early 2000s.

That is deeply troubling, do you live in Alabama by any chance?

And what happened with Rapp happened 30 years ago, by there are many others saying the same thing. If you think it only happened once 30 years ago than you are choosing to close your eyes and stick your fingers in your ears.

Oh, well if it happened over 30 years ago, then yeah, Spacey should get a free pass. Oh, and he was drunk too, so that makes it doubly ok. WTF man, its not ok. I agree that statute of limitations has run out and he probably can't be prosecuted in this instance, but he's still a bad dude, and bad dudes have been getting called out lately.
I feel bad for the guy who gets falsely accused, but Spacey didn't seem to deny it, so yeah, he's probably guilty and deserves what he gets in the court of public opinion.

The Rapp/Spacey situation wouldn't be half as bad if it didn't involve a 14 year old boy, which cuts far too closely to pedophilia territory.

It's not uncommon for it to take a long, long time for a victim of sexual misconduct to fully process what happened and finally be okay with even bringing the matter up at all.

Laws are not always right. Many states have been implementing reforms on statutes of limitations for these matters, as they have come to recognize the inadequacies of the existing laws.

The reply I was going to give to this would probably have earned me a ban. So I’ll say nothing. Except don’t think about a legal career any time soon if those are your best arguments.

From the news reports I read or seen. Anthony Rapp went to Kevin Spaceys' house voluntarily and laid on a bed to watch TV. Being 14 and bi-sexual, he might had been looking for a sexual encounter. I know the news media probably toned it down or Anthony Rapp did not want to give them all the details. But first things any attorney is going to ask is what Kevin Spacey said when he invited Anthony to his place to so if there is anything for Soliciting a Minor there. Then they will need to establish how Anthony was touched, did Kevin expose himself, what did Kevin say to Anthony. Was Anthony obstructed from leaving, restrained, or assaulted? That information will be needed for Harassment and Rape charges. However, from what has been reported to the news media, this one incident may had been dismissed by the courts back then before reaching trial because Anthony went to Kevins house and laid on a been to watch TV for awhile. Was Anthony looking for a sexual encounter? Also still lacking strong evidence.

I am aware there are other reports of Kevin Spacey are popping up now, not all involving a minor. If any legal action is going to happen, it would need to involve recent events that are still not past the Statute of Limitations in the states where the events occurred.

I was about to say again about to say everyone should drop this until I found a recent USAToday article with 15 people coming forward now. I admit there is more going on with this.

Rapp was 14. Doesn't matter what his intentions were. Barring some kind of special court order to the contrary, it's considered statutory rape in any state, hetero, gay or otherwise. Spacey took advantage of the situation, as he apparently did with others as well. Time to pay the price. The end.

Actually the statutory rape is different in every state, more so 30 years ago. So if it was a hetrosexual thing it might have been legal in a few states. And according to Wiki the federal laws have it at 12.

But we are forgetting the bigger picture... IT WASN'T WANTED! You can be the exact same age and it's wrong, no matter what, if it's not wanted. As soon as someone pushes you away, says stop, no or anything like that what you are doing is wrong no matter what. Even if Spacey thought Rapp was 18-21 or whatever.

I just found something that Anthony Rapp once met with a lawyer to discuss possible legal action, but was told there was no case worth pursuing. However probably came to some conclusion I stated earlier. Did not have a whole lot of strong evidence that would persuade a Judge or Jury for a criminal conviction or reward any substantial amount of money in a civil case.

This might change now because other people are coming forward. But Kevin Space may already have justice coming to him by losing parts in Movies and Series. This could also be heading toward civil actions because it may be difficult to get any criminal conviction now.

Huh...I had no idea it was 12 in some places. I honestly thought it ranged from 16 to 18 everywhere. Personally, I think 12 is way too young, but that's strictly IMO. Learn something new every day, though.

Either way, yes I agree that it clearly wasn't wanted in the first place. Not entirely sure where this business materialized about Rapp coming over to Spacey's house trolling for a good time. Sounds like the hardcore remnants of the Spacey fan club are spooling up the attack machine on this one.

Stay strong Anthony! Don't let the fuckers cut you down!
