Star TrekOriginal Series Set Tour.(My Recent Visit)

Chris PikE

Since the entire place is a replica prop, I thought I would share some pictures from my recent visit to the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour in Ticonderoga.

For those who have never been there, if you are a classic Trek fan, do yourself a favor and make the Trek! The place is a total immersive experience with the sound of the Enterprise ever present! You will feel like you boarded the Starship herself. Everything is recreated down to the finest detail. Thanks to James Cawley and his team!

It's funny that you should post this, I'm planning on going with my 2 son's during my visit to the Albany area in about 2 weeks time. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm really looking forward to it too. :techman:

It's starting to become a point of vexation for me that I live in objectively nearby Burlington, VT and have yet to see it.

^ Agreed! @Chris PikE, you wouldn‘t look out of place on the original show at all! Also, thanks for sharing those marvelous pics. Would love to be able to visit the set at some point in my life.

Nice. Gotta say you pull off the look. I keep telling myself that if I lose (insert weight here) that I'm buying a Star Trek uniform.

Blast it, you! If I was closer I would march over to your house, pack your bags and make you go! Of course if I could do that I wouldn't because then I'd be close enough to go myself. But I'd send you pictures to encourage you.

Many Thanks!! I appreciate it!
A Facebook buddy spliced a picture of Jeff Hunter with a picture of me...This is the result. I thought it was kinda cool!

I wish my local friends were more of the type prone to doing that sort of thing, or surprise birthday parties, or such things...

During a recent visit to the area last week, I too made the pilgrimage up to the set tour in Ticonderoga NY. I'll echo what Chis Pike said above, it's a completely immersive experience. It felt to me that I was walking the rooms and corridors of the Grey Lady. Walking into Engineering and stepping onto the Bridge was breath taking. All in all, I enjoyed myself and recommend the tour for those interested and willing to make the trip. Cost wasn't too bad ($20 for seniors, $22.50 general) for a fun, educational, inspiring hour tour.

This would be perfect for dead malls. Perfect idea for a shark tank episode--put different bridges inside dead malls....but also have some servers in there too make money from cryptocurrency...some 3D print hobby shops in there---such that the outfit makes money even if no visitors ever showed up.
