Has anyone seriously considered the ramifications of this movie actually being released into theaters? Even if it's "The Dark Knight" of 2009 it will eventually run out of steam. Then release to DVD. Interest will wane. Last night I was jolted from my slumber by a full bladder, and a frightening realization: The inevitable outcome of Trek XI's eventual release is the death of this forum!!

Sure, sure, the movie will continue to be discussed in the Trek Movies forum, but does anyone seriously think that Peach Wookiee and Cardinal Biggles are going to put up with our incessant hi-jinks, tomfoolery, and monkeyshines? I doubt it. I really think we need to consider the benefits of continuing to push the release date back every few months, so as to preserve this precious domain of irrelevancy.
But, if y'all really want to see the movie, I suppose we could just keep this forum and rename it "General Snarkiness" or something. Nonetheless, I remain concerned. What is to be done?
