Which one of the Star Trek movies are less good/worse then Star Trek XI? Just select the movies you thought were not as good as Trek XI from the poll.

I don't think it's better then Khan, Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country or First Contact but I like it better then the rest of them.

It's only better than TMP, TFF, GEN and NEM. I put it on about equal footing with TUC, FC, and INS (which, unlike most others it seems, I really liked). It is not as good as TWOK, TSFS, or TVH.

I have a hard time comparing this movie to the others, because it's just a different kind of movie...not even within the Trek universe...it just has a completely different feel. I think movies are different now than they were in the 80s and 90s. There is more technology that can wow you a lot more than before, for one thing.

There were several movies from before I would rather see than XI...that's how I voted how I did. However, I just don't think anything can ever touch The Wrath of Kahn. You had one villian who had complete hatred for Kirk. The movie was about Kirk vs. Kahn, and what puts it over the top is the history...15 true years between Space Seed and TWOK. You can't manufacture that. Even if you consider TNG, who hated Picard as much as Kahn hated Kirk? Q? No...he was a goof. Armus? Maybe...but can you base a movie on Picard vs. an oil slick? There wasn't one single borg who manipulated Picard, otherwise that could have been one. They tried to do a Kahn with Shinzon, but that failed miserably.

Even though TWOK is not my favorite Trek movie, overall I think it's #1 and always will be.

For those who voted than all previous movies are better than this new one... have you seen Insurrection? C'mon! ;)

The films aren't up for comparison, and I've seen the others so many times it's probably unfair to rank to the new experience, but theres only three I'd say were on equal footing or better than XI in terms of entertainment.

I think it's better then TMP, TSFS, TVH, TFF, TUC, GEN, INS and NEM. I'm still undecided as to whether it's better then TWoK or FC. I'll need to see it a second time to see how it holds up on second viewing!

For the people who are saying this is the best Star Trek movie without a doubt, did you see all the other movies in the theaters, going back to The Motion Picture? That can make a huge difference. If you try to compare even The Wrath of Kahn in your living room to XI in a booming theater, you don't really have a comparison, in my opinion.

Just a thought.

I'm riding the fence if it's better than all of them. The only one of the original movies that might be better is Khan.

I've seen every Star Trek movie in the theaters.

Better than all of them but Star Trek II. That is a movie that will never be beat because it was the perfect movie at the perfect time in our lives. It's like a Star Wars IV or an Indiana Jones or something.

Kahn is worth the ticket just for the bug in Chekov's ear scene: that was great. Voyage Home is a lovely, heartwarming movie-that almost stands alone--but depends on some fandom for laughs.

As much as TMP is just too long and dull and way off target in tone---it had some VERY GOOD ideas--like building fear. I site the Klingons being obliterated--liked that scene, the transport malfunctioning, the blurry warp bridge scenes---- ideas that Abram's seemed to touch on in the new film. Some aspects of the Academy, remind me of TMP and some aliens-- sort of.

First Contact-fun and entertaining.

And as much as these movies were very good or pretty good--none of them lived up to the TV shows.

Abram's Star Trek, to me, is the FIRST solid, stand alone---wicked---- out of the park TREK Film! This will be what most people own on DVD (if they have one Trek film on their shelf).

None of the other films are in the same league. They were all weak---cluttered with baggage from the past-- you sort of had to have been a fan already. Not this film. This is a kick butt movie that stands on it's own and SELLS Trek to the masses.

In my opinion its better than Generations, that film is just unwatchable and has no redeeming features, better than Insurrection, a film that proved once and for all cast members should not have script input, and slightly better than Nemesis, given it pretty much shares the failings of that film. But worse than the rest.
