I think it would be a good idea to have a FAQ stuck thread like the DS9 forum has.

My question of the day which has probably been asked before but when exactly did Prime Scotty come up with the formula for long distance sub-space transporting in the Prime Universe...

Scotty would have had to have come up with it Post-Nemesis since we don't see that type of transporter in use before.

Well wouldn't you... you know... have to have an actual list of FAQs and their corresponding answers, not to mention an 8-4-7-2 (or someone possessing a similarly-encyclopedic knowledge of the material concerned, along with lists for all conceivable occasions) to put it all together? Right now, all you've got is a single question which has, I must admit, been asked frequently, but which has not yet been shown to have a definitive answer. That's a bit thin for something purporting to be an FAQ reference.

Perhaps it would be better to compile a preliminary FAQ list first, with verifiable answers -- something which provides some substance and an actual framework to work within -- because what little there is now seems far more likely to produce a "question, answer, speculate and argue any issue at random" thread than it will a usable FAQ.

Maybe a list of significant discussion threads and what they talk about, as well as a list of what questions are satisfactorily addressed and those that are not.
