If anyone's local to Ohio, USA, there's a pretty cool exhibit coming! It'll stick around for the summer too, with other events scheduled as well. All the events are listed here on their site: https://www.decartsohio.org/exhibitions.html

I'll round up all I've found on the exhibit so far, including this blurb:

The Decorative Arts Center of Ohio presents its newest exhibition: Star Trek & Worlds Beyond, running May 31st – August 31st!

Since its 1966 debut, Star Trek has become one of the most iconic franchises in television and film. Creator Gene Roddenberry envisioned a united Federation where diverse species work together to explore the universe, overcoming prejudice and promoting an optimistic, inclusive future.

Star Trek has inspired scientific advancements, from flip phones to video technology, while captivating audiences with its imaginative worlds. The franchise has expanded beyond the screen into toys, books, conventions and global exhibitions, making it a cultural phenomenon.

Now, the Paramount Archive invites you to experience Star Trek up close in a special exhibition that showcases nearly 150 unique props, costumes and images from this beloved universe. Among the artifacts featured in Star Trek & Worlds Beyond are phasers, communicators and insignia from the Kelvin timeline, a Vulcan tea set, Romulan insignia, Uhura’s earpiece, and Starfleet props and costumes from the various timelines. The Trumbull County Historical Society and Museum of Science Fiction & Fantasy Arts is also collaborating with DACO to include Star Trek props from the museum’s recently acquired collection of more than 500 props from various sci-fi movies and television shows thanks to a donation from Modern Props’ John Zabrucky

A dynamic lineup of programming will accompany this special exhibition, offering engaging talks, a Star Trek film viewing at the Drexel Theatre, and unique opportunities to explore the impact of Star Trek on science, technology and popular culture.

This exhibition is presented with support from the Fox Foundation, Inc. and the Wendel Family Fund of the Fairfield County Foundation

The Star Trek screening mentioned above is for the TMP Director's Edition, June 10 at 7pm: https://columbusunderground.com/eve...of-the-original-star-trek-the-motion-picture/

If anyone's attending, I'll be going to the (unfortunately now sold out) Curator Talk this Sunday, featuring "never-before-seen images from the Paramount Archive’s stills collection". But I should be there before and after the event as well. Looks to be a pretty solid event, with many of the teases being Kelvin Timeline props and costumes, there was even a model mock-up (?) of Krall's Base from Star Trek Beyond teased on the center's Instagram feed.

Thought I'd take some images for those who aren't local. Excuse my amateurish photography skills too!
The exhibit is in Lancaster, Ohio until August 31st @ Decorative Arts Center of Ohio. It's at the top of a hill and parking is sorta nightmarish. I attended the curator talk which was kind of neat, the particular Paramount archivist responsible for everything oversees all things Kelvin Timeline, so the bulk of things on show are from the movies as a result. But there are a few curios sprinkled in from the wider franchise as well.
Lots of things from Modern Props are here as well on loan, the owner is apparently an Ohio native and is looking to open up a museum to house all of those rental props you've seen in pretty much everything, including the infamous twin blinking tubes. They apparently won't be lit up most of the time because of age and/or other agreements.
There seems to be a ST2 communicator there that hasn't arrived yet, and will arrive before the exhibit ends. In its place is a replica, which looks a lot like an Art Asylum/Diamond Select one I used to own.
It does seem like the pictures on exhibit plaques are like, AI filtered which doesn't look that great, especially the one used for Sulu's jacket.
A great deal of the props there have apparently never been displayed before anywhere. For a relatively "small" affair, it was pretty cool to see this so close to home!

I wonder if they had Al Hirschfeld’s original of this:

I didn't see this piece but they had others as stencils on various walls in the four rooms I went into.
Those pics are fantastic! Thank you for sharing.

But what on earth is the blue uniform with the flap and Wrath of Khan belt??
I wanna know that myself. The plaque said it was a "Federation Diplomatic Corps" uniform used in DS9, but I don't remember anything like that ever. I should've asked about its origins!

Thanks! Our 22nd wedding anniversary is next week, so we are going to take a day trip and go down to this exhibit.

Have you been to the Federation Headquarters in Sandusky?
