My name is Jacob Hill-Gowing and i am a student at Portsmouth University in the UK studying illustration.
for my current project i am looking at fandom, specifically fans of Star Trek and Star Wars. I was wondering what you guys on the forums had to say on the matter, seeing as you are the fans. It would mean a great deal to me if you could answer the following questions that i have.
1) What is it about phenomena's like Star Trek and Star Wars that appeals to such a wide and varied audience?
2) Why do you think Star Trek and Star Wars have gained such devoted cult followings?
3) Do you think that there is a rivalry between Star Trek and Star Wars Fans? if so, why do you think this has occurred?
