Star Trek Voyager: Protectors by Kirsten Beyer, Jan 2014!

A friend linked me to this page on Simon & Schuster's site, which says that the next Voyager novel by Kirsten Beyer, Protectors, is due out Jan 28th 2014! I can't wait! :D

Should be good. I will admit, Eternal Tides was not as good as the previous VOY novels by Beyer, but still a very good read. And I liked it more the second time I read it. So I have high hopes. :) So good to know that starting with DRGIII's novel in august, we'll be getting 6 24th century novels in a row. :D

Please ensure that you include Kirsten's middle initials 'M' and 'F' when starting any future threads.

It's required. ;)

Ohhh that's brilliant. I was worried it'd slip into mid or late 2014; she made it sound like that was a possibility. This is excellent news.

Now that the elephant-in-the-room of Janeway has been dealt with, I can't wait to see what territory she explores.

Protectors is a definite Beyer-tastic title, too. Sounds like Full Circle, Unworthy, or Eternal Tide in the sense of implying some rich thematic resonance. Mhmm.

Excellent news! Beyer has done an absolutely wonderful job making me like Voyager and her crew again!! With this, as well as The Fall (continuing the DS9 story) and the new Enterprise (early Federation) book, I'm really looking forward to Trek Lit in the coming year!

Very glad to hear about this. I really enjoyed her first three Voy books. I still need to read The Eternal Tide though. Hopefully I'll be able to get it and read it before this comes out.

And kudos to S&S for approving and/or choosing a novel title that's short enough to fit those initials into a forum review thread title. My January's made!

I have to say that I never thought that I would so look forward to something about Voyager, but Beyer has me riveted with her work!
