Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force Free to Download?

Is this legal?



I love this game, and I'd love to see more people playing it. I didn't realize it was free to download. I wish Yahoo Games and other sites would make it free to download.

It says the legality is questionable. Is it?

It's only the multiplayer part of the game unfortunately. But no, this is not legal. Regardless of the fact that it is not being sold in the stores anymore the game can only become freeware if Activision (or whoever holds the rights now) says so.

Some believe games like this should be considered Abandonware but Abandonware is not legal. But it can be described as more ethical.

Either way this link is against board rules so it's only a matter of time before this thread is closed...

Although I wish it had included the single player version as I can't find my copy...

yeah, they still have quite a few servers. You probably need the latest patch.

(and sorry to the mods if I broke rules with this).
