Star Trek Trailer Wins Two Awards

I thought that trailer was absolutely amazing. From the music to the visuals to the pacing... it all worked. I'm happy to see it being recognized.

I did think putting Vulcan getting eaten by the black hole in there was a bit strange. I know most people wouldn't know what it was, or wouldn't watch it more than once or twice but still....two and two together when you're watching the film.

Many people - including myself - assumed it was simply a flashback to Nero recalling the fate of Romulus, so as the movie itself unspooled it was with great uneasiness that I finally realised what JJ and Nero were about to do to Vulcan. And Amanda. Fantastic!

I dunno, I thought it was pretty obviously Vulcan cause I'd read the Countdown comic. Guess thats my fault.
