It's from "Red Dwarf", series XII episode "Skipper" - not sure if you're familiar with the BBC Sci-Fi sitcom or not? The episode relies on established history, the series I pilot, to get away with some hilarious gags... which includes the Rat, LOL...

Coolness! Absolutely hilarious show, the fifth season is still a fan favorite... Series VI-XII are a decidedly mixed bag at times, but there is definitely a lot of fun to be had for a number of episodes... and XII (in my humble opinion) is easily the best of the last seven series! Actually, X - XII really exceeded my expectations, which would make more sense after you see VI-IX, which is where the biggest inconsistencies are but there are still a number of good and excellent episodes during the show's middle years. (Most fans usually say series III-VI are the golden era. Which is true, but there is a second golden era and that's X-XII... and chances are XIII will be given the green light, it's all but confirmed at this point.)
