So I know after seeing the Titan in the finale of Lower Decks, I wouldn't mind a 10 to 13 episode animated series featuring the crew of the Titan. you can have Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis reprise their role as the Troi-RIker (Or Riker-Trois). plus you can bring people to voice their characters from the other trek series that ended up being crew members of the Titan.
(I.E. Tim Russ as Tuvok, Wil Wheaton as Engineer Crusher, Patti Yasutake as Alyssa Ogawa, Daphne Ashbrook as Melora Pazlar, Lanei Chapman as Sariel Rager.)

Obviously some characters could be replaced by others as seen in LD as it looks like Riker has a Saurian for a first officer instead of Christine Vale and plus it will be cool to see a truly diverse crew as apparently the Titan's crew complement only consists of 15% of Humans and the rest are aliens.

plus it could be like the Clone Wars (aimed at kids but also could be aimed at adults as the seasons progressed). Anyway Thoughts? concerns? Comments?

If Lower Decks isn't picked up for a third season, I can see them switching to an animated Titan series.

Pike and Spock were beloved in Disco S2 and they're getting their own spin off, so if they're still as loved in LDS S2 it could happen as well as more LDS.

I love Lower Decks, but I want to see the franchise move forward. It is sad to see that wallowing in nostalgia seems to be the only bargaining chip the franchise has left.

I don't think they're going to do a Titan series. Jonathan Frakes is more at home as a director now. The occasional episode every now and then is one thing. Acting in 10 episodes (or 13) is more of a commitment.

And, to be very brutally honest, he's a better director than actor.

I imagine being a voice actor is a lesser commitment overall than having to actually be on a set 14 hours a day.

No, I mean splitting between acting and directing. If him acting in more episodes means he directs less of them, that's going to be a loss.

I never saw him as that great of a director, honestly. I'd rather they'd reel in McNeill and Dawson to do some directing if I had my druthers.

Voice acting is perfect until we have a vaccine. There won't be as many opportunities to direct.

Prior to Picard, he hadn't acted for so long he had actually FORGOTTEN how to act!

Getting his performances for Picard was a Herculean effort for JF.

I’d rather see a series set aboard the Enterprise-H, in the year 2500. With a Ferengi captain.

Another prequel? Ugh. Make it the Enterprise-X 50 years beyond Discovery season 3.

    And a Pakled captain.

I think that following Bolmer's journey on the Titan under Captain Riker in Lower Decks would be good enough for now

    I'd be all for this.

And just as Lower Decks plays with the A/B story format of Star Trek, I'd want Titan to be a domestic sitcom about Riker and Troi starting a family, which happens to take place on an awesome Starship having cosmic adventures.

Edit to add: This'll be an unpopular opinion, but they could also follow the Star Trek: Lower Decks tradition of borrowing a TNG episode title for the series by calling it Star Trek: Ménage à Troi :D

I think Riker works better in small doses rather than a full show.
