Spoilers Star Trek: Titan series (now with Picard S3 spoilers)

While I love the comedy of Lower Decks, IF there was a Titan series, it be more in line with Tng,Voyager etc. in that it has some comedy, but you have episodes that are Horror, action, romance, topical issues. So a more "serious" version.
But, as I said earlier with Stargazer.. No. Rather go forward with another crew like they did with Lower Decks instead of retreading stuff.
Getting Old in Star Wars, and rather Star Trek not get to far down the rabbit hole either. New Stuff, new crews, new adventures. Ocasional Cameo, references Etc. go for it. But DS9 didn't need Tng to exist, same with Voyager.

They should simply double the length or number of episodes. Then we could have the silly journeys of the Cerritos AND the awesome adventures of the Titan in the same show.

Pass on a Titan show. They were regulars for 7 years of TNG & 4 movies. Let's move foward with new shows.

That said, keep up the random Riker-Troi surprise guest appearances. They are awesome. lol

If the tone of the series fell somewhere between TNG and DS9 while the art style wasn't of the Saturday Morning Cartoon variety, the idea wins my vote.

Its not surprising that CBS are going ahead with more animated shows.

It opens the door to bringing back some of the previous casts who cant or wont commit to live action but are willing to provide the voice overs.

They are a lot cheaper and quicker to make as well.

Not to mention that social distancing and COVID safe environments are much more manageable than studio and location based filming.

I would not model animated Trek on Clone Wars. Model it on the first animated series, which was based on the original TOS characters aboard the Constitution class Enterprise.

No kiddie space cadets, please. That would be insulting my intelligence.

I watched TOS as a kid, and enjoyed it. And TOS was aimed at an adult audience.

For a Titan series.... Actually, I would use a new set of characters, perhaps serving aboard the U.S.S. Luna.
