Its good to hear....... I yesterday discovered that MAYBE a theater near me still has analogue screens!! (I thought they were all replaced)

The current release Interstellar was actually shot on film, not digitally, and was first released in 35 mm and 70 mm film prints to those theaters that could still handle the formats, before going into a wider digital release. There is apparently a contingent of directors that is fighting to preserve the film format, and I'm glad to hear that.
 
That is good news to hear.

For the longest while, if you shot video of a CRT, you would get arifacts.

To look at Houston control, for example--you'd thing all they were looking at was snow on screens with the vertical hold out.

But I've noticed those types of artifacts actually sneaking back in.--and film is the only way to get a bridge shot where you KNOW that won't happen.
