Star Trek: The Webcomic

The Bronze Review just published an interview with Mark Farinas, (link) the creator of Star Trek: The Webcomic aka Trekcomic, which has also been shared on TrekMovie (link).

If you've never read the comic before, it's really good. Strips have been published twice weekly without a break or hiccup for several years, and is well into its 5th story.
From the current story. Check out the Planet Earth jumpsuits!

As mentioned in the interview, mark also created the 2009 kick-arse Klingon Propaganda animated short, as seen below.

I've seen the comic occasionally. I haven't had a chance to really delve in, though.

And I love the Klingon propaganda video. It's an excellent take on the Klingon Empire as a representation of the Eastern Bloc.

That animation is great. It's how I ended up meeting Mr. Farinas in the first place. I emailed him to say how much I liked it, and it turned out he lives about 3 miles from me.

The thing I like about the comic is that it has a sense of humor and isn't afraid to express that, so while a story might be serious there are moments of absurdity which are very human... even when aliens are involved.

The current story is a bit of a delightful farce. Lt. Jin in the Tellarite planet strip joint was a hoot, as is the Betty and Veronica reaction to Genesis II's Dylan Hunt and his manly mustache.

I've read pretty much every episode for quite some time.
(Sure wish Arioch's "Outsider" was updated as consistently.)

I read the comic frequently and there have been some interesting stories along the way, although I didn't much care for his perspective on Number One, but that's just me.
