Star Trek The Motion Picture

I watched ST:TMP once again today and noticed that Ilia was lacking simple touch like Spock had informed Kirk of in the Medical Bay.

At the end of ST:TMP as V'ger dis-assimilates it looks like there are small packets of light that suddenly warp away from the Enterprise. Could these packets have spread information to Borg collection nodes seeded across the galaxy that would return what V'ger had discovered to the creator that created the ship so V'ger could return to its data to its creator?

In ST:TNG there is always one Borg, a single female, who has any emotion. Could these emotions have been switched on through the data sent back to the Nodes after Ilia (V'ger) had formed with Decker thus completing V'ger's mission of finally being able to touch its creator?

Is the Borg female the representation of Ilia? If so where is the male Borg representing Decker?

The problem with that is that V'ger visited a MACHINE PLANET, and does not consider carbon based life forms "true life."

The borg, on the other hand, have no issue with carbon-based life seeing as they are bio-mechanically enhanced melting pot of carbon life. Their planet is also not a "machine" planet. It's a biomechanoid waste filled with billions of drones. CYBORGS. They're not pure machines by any stretch.

Of course they might have become cyborgs after V'ger but the time frame is a bit tight.

Roddenberry once made a comment that V'ger was changed by the Borg.

IIRC, he wondered, half-jokingly in an interview, if the machine planet of living machines that repaired Voyager 6 "had some connection to the Borg".

It was a Shatner & Reeves-Stevens' novel that actually made that planet the Borg homeworld.

But no, Ilia has nothing to do with the Borg. V'ger didn't even understand that humans on the Enterprise ("carbon-based lifeforms") were true lifeforms. The Borg Queen seemed to be carbon-based.

Hmm?

Is the Borg female the representation of Ilia?
Sure.

If so where is the male Borg representing Decker?
New Jersey working for Yoyodyne.
