Emotional attachment is such for me that anxiousness prevails. Telling me not to worry is a guarantee for me to worry.

Recognizing that I'm worried will sometimes help. But attachment is a fussy thing.
Indeed it is and being so manipulable when experiencing intense attachment has had consequences. As such I have not engaged in emotional attachment for a couple of years now.

Yeah I wasn't sure what to make of it. Was everyone else in on it and they were trying to deceive La'an because she's a stickler for the rules?

I feel like they were trying to add a sense of forboding, like Pike knows "something" is up, but it doesn't make any sense given the facts of the episode. I guess it could be he's concerned she immediately jumped to the conclusion it was a spy or something nefarious when it turned out that both the signal she found was Scotty and the tampering was done to protect a friendly action.

But there is no reason for her not to assume it isn't nefarious.

Because they're right on the edge of space that Starfleet is actively concerned enough about to leave a probe on the border, and have to send in a crew to get it before the Klingons find it, so it's not really that much of a leap to think bad things. (Especially so soon after an actual war with those Klingsons...)

They're skirting a trope I do not like.

In The Cage, La'an hasn't come aboard yet. I think they acted like La'an was new in the SNW premiere..
Yeah, she didn't join the Enterprise crew until four or five years after "The Cage." There are some fans who retcon the unnamed female bridge officer in the original pilot as La'an, but it clearly can't be her.

not all of his videos are troll-like. this is just a cut of references and easter eggs, some of which i didn't notice on my own. legit post. maybe one line at the very end thats a dig, but a worthwhile comparison cut. worth checking out.

Major Grin and an AI thumbnail? (Is that Thulsa Doom?)

The hardest of passes.

Since when did James Earl Jones ever appear on a Star Trek episode?;)

(Amazed these hack YouTubers have followers that eat this crap up. What a bunch of garbage.)

Guess some fans need others to tell them how they feel about episodes.

the video has no commentary or opinions like that. Its literally just clips of episodes spanning the franchise, showing self referential bits and continuity.

I'm thinking we need this generations of Trek's Okudas to tell us how it all fits together.

There are random frames of AI slop dispersed throughout that are really distracting, I have to say. I don't understand what the point of them even is; they don't add to anything either before or after them.
