Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Gameprint?

That looks more Lower Deckish than I would have imagined.
Yes, GamePrint. 5-inch. It came out darker than I hoped. Because the ship is used in game, the model has more detail than the Eaglemoss version, e.g. deck 1 escape pods.

Yeah, I learned my lesson early with Gameprint, they're always a bit darker than expected. I don't play the game so can't upload my own, so I always have to look for someone who has uploaded the lightest version possible of any ships of interest.

I wonder if the Stargazer and Vancouver come with magazines?

I’m in the Facebook fan group and use it to request uploads. I play the game but I my uploads always fail. People recently found out that your game brightness settings affect how dark the model will be. :cardie:

Interesting, I have been looking at their website since the launch and they are still available online.

They still show as "in stock" for me as well. Could be they're trickling them out throughout the day. I did notice there seemed to be more internal checking and other antiscalper stuff this time around, which sort of leads me to believe they didn't have it previously.

Presumably Vancouver will, most of the later releases have the little ones already inserted into the box. Originally the XLs used the regular size ones, the only late release XL I have is Cerritos, which has a small one, so I would presume Stargazer has a small one as well.

Well Stargazer and Vancouver, XL 1701 are now sold out. But they lasted nearly an hour so I am surprised.

For me, Stargazer, Vancouver still showing in-stock. XL TOS Enterprise, XL Defiant, Gagarin, Space Dock, Modern Basestar, Nostromo and Sulaco sold out.

Maybe confusing the red "previously unreleased" banner on the images with the red "sold out" button in the top right on images.

I cracked open my Titan a short while ago and was looking at the last page of magazine - looks like Eaglemoss was teeing us up for a Yosemite shuttlecraft. I'll take one of those too Master Replicas!

The Vancouver still being in stock actually has me considering it. I was convinced it would sell out as quickly as the Cerritos.

Unfortunately, that one never made it to production. Robinson said as much when he gave one of the preproduction testshots to McMahan as a gift.

Yeah she's gone! Lasted longer than I expected.

Stargazer is still available.

I broke down and bought the XL Discoprise.

No more, I swear I mean it this time!!

Ok Vancouver is now showing out of stock for me.
Confirmed.

It lasted considerably longer than Titan, which I believe was around 20-30m. As you conjectured, I think there probably was more stock since it was one of the upcoming releases - although, I suppose it may have had fewer takers since folks who missed out on Cerritos and Titan probably weren't as interested as they might have been.

In retrospect, I'm extremely fortunate that...
A) I'm currently working from home and I can step away for a moment at just the right time.
and
B) I'm not really interested in stuff from the new shows and movies.

I clicked on the Spacedock. In and out by two minutes after 3 PM. :) From what I've read, that one disappeared quickly.

When they finally get around to Klingon Ty'Gokor station or the Caretaker's array, I'm going to have to have lighting-fast fingers. Heck, I might even need that if they restock the K-7.

On the plus side, this high demand makes me certain that, sooner or later, SOMEONE will start up the line again.

I'm not sure crazy people (of which I am admittedly one) frantically trying to fill holes in their existing collections is that predictive of future success. There is definitely demand for maybe two dozen or so hero ships, including ones from the newer shows, but I don't think we'll ever see a company attempting to release every possible ship ever again (unless it's some kind of 3D print-on-demand thing).

I believe Eaglemoss shot themselves in the foot by going to the larger sizes and pivoting away from the subscription model, because it's a much harder job to convince people to buy $50-60 "blink and you'll miss them" ships as individual purchases.
