Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

They are expensive as hell for what you get. But have they ever increased in price over the years? I can't remember if they started at 89.99 US or have always been 99.99 US. Because the regular have gone from 19.99 US to what 29.99 US now
I think so. Everything's gone up in the post-COVID world. That, plus record-high inflation, increasing interest rates, skyrocketing gas prices and a resurgence of unrest in the middle east. It's like the 70's all over again, but without any of the groovy music.

Looks like shuttle sets 1-6 were £69.99 and then set 7 went up to £75.99.

The XL editions have gone up from £49.99 to £59.99.

So not a huge increase all things considered, but I've always found them overpriced for what they are. I've bought a few things over the years but always at a discount - promotions are so common that you'd be quite foolish to actually pay full price for anything.

I wouldn't say I was interested in all the sets. I got Sets 2 and later 5 nearly two years ago, when I was getting a lot of overtime at work. Most of the other sets out at the time either didn't have any that excited me, or they were Abrams-era ships, which didn't really interest me. (Although I think I might get Set 3 eventually, if I can afford it).

I actually tried buying Set 8 a month ago, but the official site decided it wasn't available to Canada, even though it was on the Canadian site. Set 1 has log eluded me, but I finally broke down and got it off eBay, and it's currently on its way. I had Micro Machines of TOS, TNG, and Voyager shuttles, which are pretty close in scale, but the Defiant shuttle will be nice to have.

I still hope to get 8 eventually as well, as I really like a set of alien shuttles, after so many Starfleet ones. (Though they still need to do the inspection pod from "Enterprise").

Ty’Gokor, XL Prometheus and Lower Decks Titan are now Add to Basket.
Does anyone know a code that applies in UK?

Gold XL Enterprise-E is already sold out. It’s limited to 250 units worldwide. :wtf:

I pick up one here and there...

Today I got the 1701-F Refit in the mail. I really like it, but, whoa, is it cheap feeling compared to some of the other models I’ve gotten from them. Even the base feels cheap compared to what I’ve gotten in the past.

Lovely surprise today. Shuttlecraft set #1, which I wasn't expecting until Monday, just arrived. As always, ebay is the last resort for people willing to shell out for items the main site doesn't have in stock. Strange that the missing magazine that I bought on the same day from an eBay dealer in the US hasn't arrived, but the much larger package that traveled from the UK, through the US, to Canada, has.

As I said earlier, I have a clear memory of the Galileo, and the TNG and Voyager shuttles, having had them in Micro Machine form. On opening the outer box, the four initially looked a tad stubby, but after getting them out of their boxes and getting a closer look, they look really good. Although I was initially, most excited for the Defiant shuttle, in retrospect, I'd say the TNG shuttle is my favorite. It just looks perfect.

I have a parcel coming tomorrow. I have no idea what it is. Hopefully it’s the bloody Ceritos that was supposed to be out in January

January? That's all? I've been waiting for them to finish out my last two missing ships (Excelsior Prototypes 1 & 2) from the original line that have been released for like the past 3 years!

So I took advantage of the upto 50% sale on the Amazon.com on Wednesday and picked up the Akira Class XL (even with international shipping it was far cheaper than from the main shop) and that arrived this morning. I was expecting it this Wednesday. - it's a marvellous model.

Whereas my BC-304 (and I think Galactica 2003) has been stuck in Dublin for the last ten days and from dispatch to its likely arrival tomorrow or Monday and it got sent out by Eaglemoss US about five weeks ago.

And given it took around a month for Disco-A XL to be sent out from the EU shop after the UK one, my Certos XL will likely be here by the end of April.

I did get the Cerritos. It’s a very heavy model and bigger than I expected.
I noticed a mistake in the magazine. It says it launched in 2245 which is the original Enterprise launch date.

Sigh. So the regular-sized Equinox is still out of stock at £8.50. But oh look they've released it as a display box at £22.99.

The Ferengi have nothing on Eaglemoss.

I presume they’ve stopped doing out of stock items because they’re “legacy prodcuts” now, and instead focus on their re-releases.

Best course is probably to wait for a sale of the 2.0 packaged Equinox in the Webshop or on Amazon. Or else get it from a private seller.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I haven’t figured out image hosting so I only post pics in the Facebook group. In the Xl Discovery-A magazine it also said launched 2245. Same error.

As a Mod, I believe you have access to Premium features which includes being be able to upload images upto 1mb in size.

And my BC-304 arrived today, it’s a mighty fine model.
