Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I can't decide if those press releases say MR is doing something new, or that they're just announcing they can officially sell what they already have.

Either or, I had thought that MR might eventually work with the factories and restart some limited production of the super popular ships. However, it seems like that would be exposing themselves to the same problems Eaglemoss faced. As it seems to be a crapshoot trying to predict what's worth trying to revive. Based on how fast it sold originally, three weeks ago I would have said the LD Titan was a no-brainer to make more, but that would have been a mistake as the latest restock is still available after two weeks. If I had to put money down, I think they'd just restart making some of the XL Enterprises.

Armstrong would be my preference, my least favorite is the Dresselhaus, so it's most likely going to be that one, lol.
I can’t find it now but I saw a tweet that Simon Budge designed the 32c ship. According to his website, he designed one: the USS Dresselhaus.

Finally got a Cerritos! That's the only time I ever ordered a model of theirs twice (ordered one originally from Eaglemoss, but never got it because they went AWOL). Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get here. Any idea how long they usually take to ship to Germany?

I also got a USS Nog, because I think it's an awesome homage to Aron Eisenberg and a pretty cool and unusual design to boot.

I think that might conclude my journey with this collection. I have all the models I wanted. Hopefully they'll start to put out new ones eventually. There's some ships from Strange New Worlds I definitely would get.

Picked up a Scorpion as well. I meant to grab a couple of the Qraftworks puzzle ships, but forgot (oops) - I have the Cerritos one and they're kind of fun.

On a different note, here are my thoughts for the existing 32c prototypes, is order of personal preference:

  • Armstrong = most classically “Star Trek” 32nd century ship
  • Saturn = cool, unique design
  • Currie = I’m a sucker for four nacelles and a saucer(ish)
  • Tikhov = probably the only 32nd ship to really feature in an episode
  • Dresselhaus = seems more like a Doctor Who ship (I'll still pick one up, so any complaints are entirely contradictory, lol)

Yeah, MR just tweeted out that they canceled 14 out of 15 orders for them that one person in the UK placed (different names, same address) and put them back on the site.
