No, there are no built-in lights. However the clear blue plastic will appear to be illuminated when the light hits it in the right way.

^ How so?

Flicking through the reviews nearly every single one gets "four out of five badges"?

Today saw the arrival of four more ships, acquired from Ebay.

Voyager has the same scale as the Furuta model but is longer. It reminds me of the comparison between the basic Intrepid class and Mark Rademaker's slipstream drive refit. The EM wins in detail and overall look but, as has been noted elsewhere, the ventral saucer section lacks in detail.

I applied glue to the connector between main hull and saucer section of Defiant because it felt wonky. Excellent model, even with the mirror universe arrowhead. :rommie:

The D'deridex is something I've been waiting for, for ages, a medium sized Romulan warbird. I do have the AMT model, which is descent but too large to handle comfortably in one hand. I can't wait for the other Romulan ships in the series.

Last but not least, the Stargazer model succeeds in magically turning one of the ugliest ST designs into eye candy. While the trimmed saucer may be insufficiently accurate to the source, it is a definite improvement visually. Good thing I didn't skip that model!

I would have to say I'm thinking on ordering the stargazer also, The Galoob micro machine had the same slimmed down saucer that this has..and looks alot better for it.

would most of the models fit in crystal clear display cases like the ones u the diecast model cars come in?,i want to put some like the refit uss enterprise(model picture version) in one and what scale|size would I need?.

If you get the ones that are for displaying the mini-football helmets, they work well. DS9 fits. They only issue I have had is with the hight of the solar sail.

I got issues 22 & 23 today rather early, the Krenim Temporal Weapon Ship & Nebula class, can post pictures if you like.
They are rather nice, except the Nebula's stand is very loose. But I think a bit of superglue should fix that so its no longer possible to remove the clear plastic holder from the base...

Is that absolutely zero aztecing I see on the Nebula? That's really disappointing. At least the Krenim ship looks ace though.

There is Aztecing on the Nebula but its hard to see it, the top is only really visible under direct light and the bottom is a bit easier to discern. Overall its a nice piece for a ship I guess hasn't been made as a model for before.

Yeah on the third image I think you just make some of the Aztecing out its just to the left of the middle of the ship. (or up with the image layout...)

I was only initially going to get the first 10 or so issues, but they are just too nice, going to go for the whole collection.

So the UK is now 5 ships ahead of the US? They were only 3 ahead until the US shipping dates got moved around.

The UK is 5 ahead of the US, and the US hasn't even been charged for the Stargazer & Vor'Cha yet. When are they thinking to charge us for the JJprise as well? It's been out for like 3 months already in the UK. If I wanted to I could order it from Big Bad Toy Store and have it in a week if I wasn't going to get it cheaper from my subscription. Though if I could find a way to negate the shipping cost, it would be cheaper than my subscription...

I am disappoint.
