I really, really want ENT Inspection Pod, and VOY SC-4 (without the stupid fucking armor, God how I hate the armor).
And really how about a real version of the studio model of the original TNG shuttle. You would think that would be made.......
Well that’s your opinion. In my opinion they did, plus that the Jedi are evil.
I will say I am very surprised by Jupiter Station. Kudos to Eaglemoss, and I certainly am for them continuing to expand the Stations created for Trek.
In fairness, STO's "lifelike" versions of the Lower Decks crew were deeply cursed images.
Agreed. They just looked kind of wrong. Particularly Boimler.
I just assumed the voice actors would play their live action counterparts
I LOVE the STO-versions of the Lower Deckers. I'm waiting for a LDS novel so I can imagine in a more real-life style, based on their original STO appearances.
Just as a headsup: I’m pleased to see Eaglemoss Aust / NZ now has the Mayflower up for preorder!
Also, the more I see it, the more I’m now wanting the XL Kelvinverse 1701. Details look sooooo much better than the Special, from back in the day.
Did you mean the Armstrong? I don't see the Mayflower up yet.
I've yet to see a single episode of this series, but that is a fine looking ship!
I'm pleased to hear that we are getting the Ferengi pod, but bummed that, as it is in the shuttlecraft collection, no magazine with behind-the-scenes information.
Yes, apologies - the Armstrong!
And looking forward to the Mayflower when it does arrive also!
I hope Drexler suggests his and Probert's DS9 2.0 for a future model.
I think the Borg ship size chart in the Delta Quadrant Shipyards book hasn't been discussed here yet.
The cube and sphere, whose sizes were previously given as 3037m (based on the 28 cubic kilometers mentioned in VOY: Dark Frontier) and 600m (based on the estimated size in ENT: Regeneration), are now 2743m and 457m (both based on John Eaves' size chart for First Contact).
The Probe is now 212m instead of 180m. I have no idea where either of these numbers could be from.
The length of the Tactical Cube was stated to be 3040m in the magazine. I think this size makes sense if it's basically a standard cube with additional armor plating. In the book, however, it is shown to be only 1960m, much smaller than the regular cubes!
The size of the Borg Queen's ship is given as 2500m now, which is definitely wrong. In Dark Frontier it is shown to be way smaller than a cube. It even emerges from a hatch that looks exactly like the one that can hold a sphere, so it should be approximately 457m as well.
Yes, but that hatch isn't part of a Cube but part of the Unicomplex. You may as well argue that because we see the E-D exiting the doors of a station that looks like Spacedock, it's the same size as the original 1701-refit (or at least the Excelsior)...
But when the Queen's ship is flying right between two regular cubes at the end of part 2, it seems to be at most one third the height of a cube. That's not even close to 2500 meters, more like 850.
I've just assumed that not all Cubes were of equal size.
All cubes are equal, but some are more equal than others.
The fact that every Borg Vessel hasn't converted to the Armored Cube or Armored (3D Geometric Shape) version befuddles me.
It they wanted a higher chance of success in assimilating species that are resisting, wouldn't making your ships more powerful and harder to destroy be a priority?
Obviously "Armored Tactical Cubes" exist, why not up-armor every Borg (3D Geometric Shape) vessel?
They can obviously do it.
