Star Trek: Scene It? FINALLY!

For years I have griped about how Trek has been ignored for a version of the popular DVD game series, "Scene It?". Considering so many other topics with far less resources have been turned into this game (i.e.: Star Wars!!!), how could they continue to pass up our huge fan base? Finally, it was due to be released this fall but with the delay in the next film (ST:XI moved from 12/08 to 05/09) the game too will be delayed. Look for it, they say, in spring of '09. Here's a link to the cover: http://trekmovie.com/images/Scene It_6324.jpg Funny how they put a sticker obliterating the least liked captain, Archer. Also, why no shot of Chris Pine as young Kirk? ST:XI will be featured in the game so they could've put the image Kirk from ST:I-VII along with one of Pine in ST:XI. Still, they have the uniforms of all of the captains correct. I hate it when they show a group shot of the captains and the depict Picard in a movie uniform mixed with Janeway and Sisko in the same TV uniforms. This game has the perfect group shot, IMHO.

I had never heard of the Scene It games before, but this sounds like so much fun! I am definitely picking this up when it's available.

So am I!!!! I might order it though online when it comes out..looks like loads of fun!!!!!! I'm wondering if they have different games for the different Trek series on there??? I'm wondering how good I am in TOS as well as VOY. :)

I'd pick it up if they made it for the Xbox 360. I've been thinking about getting the first Scene It game so I can have a game the whole family can play on my 360.

It's just a DVD game so if you can play a DVD on your 360, you should be able to play this game.

I don't have any friends that could beat me :( lol

Honestly, my girlfriend watches trek and stuff-- but I'm pretty sure this game would only be fun with people from this forum...

I wonder if there's a single player option for the game? Maybe someone who has some of the other Scene It games can answer.

It's a Star Trek game, it's got to have a single player option otherwise none of the fans will be able to play it. ;)

There's no way I'd get my family to play this. I'd crush them. It'd make up for all the Christmas time Trivial Pursuit defeats, though.

Noit sure what 'scene it' means, but there was interactive dvd/video trek games done. put the video into the tv, layout the board and the pieces and go.

That was a next generation one, for some odd reason Gowron decided to take over the enterprise whilst it was in dry-dock. You have to regain control of the ship...damn, thats going back over ten years in memory....crap game though.

Yeah, who the hell would I play this with?

Awww....why are other people so inferior? Everyone should love Star Trek. Damm it!

WTF buy it for me. :(

I would so play this with my friends + my dad (I'd kick their collective ass but it'd still be fun..)

:borg:

I can't wait. I love the Scene It games.

What would actually be a good idea for a Star Trek product is a compilation of TV spots and "Next Time on" trailers. Over 700 of those across 2-3 DVDs. Each series, one per episode. The closest thing I've come across (outside the web) is the old Omnipedia CD-ROM. The downside is the tiny window compression... lacking proper TV quality.

They'd better not make it like Star Trek: The Trivia Game. Q was the host and it was such a pain in the ass because in the "studio audience", a nerd would shout out the answers every two seconds. You'd never get a chance to answer a single question because of him.
