The Return of the Archons
While investigating the disappearance of the U.S.S. Archon, the Enterprise discovers an inhabited planet, Beta III. While observing the populace, the crew finds the culture is controlled by a group of 'lawgivers' known as “the Body” which is, in turn, controlled by the omniscient Landru. But before Kirk can discover the purpose of Landru, the U.S.S. Enterprise begins to be pulled from its orbit, its crew to be absorbed into “the Body”. So now, in a battle against a superior force, Kirk must attempt to rescue his ship before they become imprisoned on this repressed alien world.
