This was discussed in another thread somewhere. Maybe this forum. The first time we see the bridge crew they are all cg, and then it transitions to the actual footage. Changing the position of the character entering the turbolift had to do with how they transitioned from cg to the actual footage.

At least that's how I remember it.

It looks cool in the new version, no matter what. I love the new sweep-in through the bridge dome.

A-

Only the brutal syndication cuts kept it from ranking an A. Bring on Season Three on Blu-Ray. :techman:

I can't believe they showed this on TV last weekend......first time ever seen on TV for me.

The edited version really doesn't do it justice. You should hunt down one of the VHS or DVD versions.

The edited version is one of the biggest chop-jobs I think syndication has ever done on any television series, old or new. The original unedited "Cage" ran about 63 minutes. The TOS-R version is about 43 minutes, 30 seconds without commercials. That's almost TWENTY minutes missing.:scream:

Yeah, I have both the Frankenstein and the newer pre-R DVDs.

I actually really like the Frankenstein for some reason. It almost adds to the theme of 'what is reality?' to go back and forth like that.
