Don't forget Dmitri Valtane of the Excelsior. Alive and well at the very end of STAR TREK VI. Stone dead in "Flashback(VOY)." Go figure.

Now that was a clear dumb-ass error!!

That'll teach them to watch a pan & scan version of TUC when trying to figure if the could retroactivley kill a chaacter who hadn't died in the movie!!

"Well hell,we don't see him after the BOP battle so we can pretend he was killed in the Voyager episode we're thinking about writing!!"

I prefer to think of him as his long-forgotten twin brother: Pete Valtane. Sure, he didn't get as high a rank or as much attention on the Excelsior...but he lived.

Well, the 23rd century part of "Flashback" was just a feverish dream Tuvok had, so the canon continuity isn't endangered much even if that dream doesn't match the reality we saw in ST6:TUC.

No "Commander Rand" in reality, either...
