some alien substance is brought on the ship and reproduces and oozes over everything and threatens to kill all. Or maybe it oozes all over an alien planet. Can't remember details. Help, please! Thanks....

Which series would you be referring to? For some reason i seem to recall quite a few ooze episodes from various series'.

Is it the tng episode with the black tar pit ooze thing? I believe it was called skin of evil....

From what I remember a shuttle craft carrying Troi crashes on the planet and she becomes covered in the ooze
