So tribbles have a skeleton with a a proper skull and limb bones?! They have actual faces with large, expressive eyes?! They're basically hedgehogs with soft fur instead of quills??!!!

That’s not a Tribble. Technically, none of the creatures in the episode are Tribbles, but that one especially is very much not a Tribble.

Very good episode again, a bit more in the vein of some S1 episodes.

Best part: Murf cuddling the Bribble. And powering up the Protostar. They all deserve a break.

That was an alright episode, although quite a bit weaker than the recent batch before it.

Never forget that Benjamin Sisko is single-handedly responsible for reintroducing the Tribble species and ruining this scientist's life.

So many things throwing me violently out of the story. In the first place, the Linnean binomial for tribbles is Polygeminus grex. While that originated in the fan edition of the noncanonical Star Fleet Medical Reference (I have both the fan and licensed editions in my library), it was elevated to canonical status when the relevant illustrations and caption appeared in an Okudagram in either TNG or DS9 (or both). Second, these look about as furry as a Brikar (or as whatever species Darth Maul is). Third, tribbles don't like Klingons any more than Klingons like tribbles; they should have been a mass of shrieking fur, when in that close a proximity to Klingons.

I'm giving it a 5. The 5 that's already up is presumably lonely.
