I gave it a 7. My lowest grade of the season. Still enjoyed it though and am really enjoying the season. I enjoyed season 1 too, but season 2 is better IMHO.

Whatever the case, Raffi and 7 had no reason to believe their interference wouldn’t change anything. This is as risky as Kirk removing Gillian from the 20th century, only multiplied several times.

Also, the watchers doesn’t seem to do much apart from watching these days.
Kirk has obviously never heard of "preserving and not interfering with the timeline before hoes"

Kirk invented time travel. Or at least no one he knew, knew how to do it when he figured out how to do it at least there different ways. Cold starting the engines from The Naked Now, Sling shotting around the sun in Tomorrow is Yesterday, the Guardian of Forever in City on the Edge of Forever...

Rules about time travel were invented because of what a bull in a China shop Kirk was, even on his best behavior.

At least Kirk did a token attempt at avoid bringing Gillian in the future, unconvincing as it was.
But then there would have been no one in the 23rd Century who had an emotional bond with the Whales who could have looked after the them and helped them to adapt to and navigate their ‘strange new world’ filled with new wonders such as Xindi Aquatics and robotic fish.

Then the probe would have come back and finished it’s job.

So you're saying that Starfleet considered asking the Xindi Aquatics for help, but decided that it would be more fruitful and faster to time-heist some Earth whales instead?

The Prime Universe is what you see in every single episode of Star Trek except two episodes of Enterprise, a few Discovery episodes, and The Trouble with Tribbles.
