This was a good episode for Narissa. Her murderous sadism is still horrific, but she has been given at least some justification by the apparent force of the Admonition. She, too, has been driven mad, just in a more functional direction.

The question is why doesn't Oh mind meld everyone into becoming a Zhat Vash? All of Starfleet Command for instance? (Hey a bunch of scorpions did it in "Conspiracy")

She could have mind melded Clancy and Picard into being Zhat Vash fanatics.

Brian Brophy?!
That would be epic. All the fans who were outraged because a one-off character was recast, and then... Boom! The Real Brophy!

Much as I loved this episode, spacing so many Borg, imo, was unnecessary for the story. Just as unnecessary as Hugh's death.

I was sad... for a second. Then I remember it was the freaking Borg. Good riddance. Now Queen Annika is in control of the whole freaking Borg Cube with no one to stop her.

With this episode Narissa Rizzo or The Colonel or whatever we're calling her finally got some depth and I'm loving it. I can buy her reasons for doing what she does even if I don't agree with them.

Commodore Oh is half Romulan and half Vulcan. She's been a secret agent for years. Also loving this development.

Admiral "Fucking" Clancy is growing on me.

Seven as the Borg Queen was something else. Having followed her journey on Voyager this is quite a development and a huge sacrifice for her to make even temporarily. Elnor is adorable.

For me, Santiago Cabrera stole this episode with his many characters. Finally we got some proper background on him. The only thing I disliked is that it's too coincidental that he's also connected to the Synth plot. Rafi was a great foil for the Rios holograms throughout.

I find I review these episodes and barely spend any time talking about Picard himself. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing but Patrick Stewart never disappoints. Soji and Agnes grappling with what they are was interesting but the "conference table" scene with almost the entire crew reminded me of TNG in a nostalgic way.

Just two episodes left and then it's over. It has exceeded my expectations so far so I hope it sticks the landing.

Lol

"I beg your pardon?"

A big mystery is: who has the power to move eight stars and place them exactly in a gravitational equilibrium? As a signal... that Picard is following. To learn a lesson about saving humanity...

The only person I know who could do that (and has done that, only with 27 planets) is Davros.

Great job by Picard and Raffi for putting the puzzle together based on the fragments of information they got from Jurati, Soji, Rios (and his holos), figuring out the 8 star system, Commodore Oh, zhat vash, Mars attack, etc.

So did the Borg cube become disabled because they assimilated the crazy auntie?

So what mysteries are left? What is on the android planet (how many droids, who created them)? Who caused the super nova?

Maddux said Jurati's contribution was "essential." Almost assuredly to him creating Soji's. And apparently, male androids as well. He said, himself, Soong, abd Jurati. What did she contribute?

Maybe DNA samples? So it would make Jurati the new gen synth's mother. Kinda par for the course :)

Perhaps her 'real' contribution was just making him happy?
That alone could be motivation to continue his work in some manner, especially after everything was shut down.
He obviously truly loved her.

Why wasn't Narek (or any other male) given the Admonition or at least a mind meld of it?
Maybe male Romulans, unlike Vulcans can't mind-meld?
Other than Narek, all the males shown, seem to be brutes/warriors/politicians rather than scientists.
Even the ones back on Vashti.
