I hadn't realized that, but that is an interesting point. It definitely seems like we're going to be seeing a massive shift in the story from this point on. I wonder how intense of a cliffhanger we'll end up with leading into Season 2?

I mentioned this in a previous post, but all the scenes we've been shown in the previews and such seem to span episodes 1-7 (i.e. up to and including the Riker stuff). This suggests to me they have really big surprises lined up for the last three episodes. I'm uber excited for them.

They anticipated the Brian Brophy outrage, so season 1 will end with the deaths of Picard, Riker, Troi, Geordi, Worf and Beverly to make room for Brian Brophy taking over as the lead in season 2, as the fans wanted all along.

This would be like a doctor turning off an AED right next to her because she's already trained in CPR herself. That makes absolutely no sense. EMH's don't get in the way, they help.

Any doctor would face serious questions if an AED was right next to them on why it shows no signs of being used during someone's heart attack.
It’s a tv show. A show called Star Trek Picard not ER Picard. Not Picard 911. Not CSI Picard. Not Diagnosis Murder Picard. They aren’t going to spend a lot of story time on the testimony of Agnes Jurati MD PhD in the matter of the death of one Bruce Maddox. What they gave us is more than enough

Also I don’t think Rios Shipping and Transport Ltd has an HR dept or is going to contact the local cops on this matter. ;)

Could have fooled me with the detective work Laris and Picard were doing at Dahj's apartment.

One thing I haven't mentioned is that I assume Picard always wondered if not using an invasive virus via Hugh to kill all the Borg was the right thing to do. Nechayev herself outright ordered Picard to do so if he ever got another opportunity. After this episode, Picard can make peace that he made the right choice.

Did she say the EMH never activated? I didn't hear that.
So then Rios is assuming the EMH was there the whole time and tried to save him and failed. While that's certainly possible, Agnes' plan would hinge on Rios never turning on the EMH ever again. Not much of a plan. And I think his ship would be protected with security programs to prevent her hacking.

Earth's leading cybernetics expert vs. some Commodore 64 that Rios is using to run his rustbucket.

The Starfleet lady Raffi was talking to, was she wearing a TNG movie uniform? I am not trying to nitpick, never cared about uniform continuity, just curious.

TOS fight music is iconic. TNG fight music could be pulsating and even creepy(the confrontations between Riker and Worf and the parasite-infected Admiral Gregory Quinn as an example) but I never find myself humming it or looking for clips containing it on YouTube.
Early seasons have great music. I can hum the Klingon stinger. B bummm bum bum

I can play in my head some of the Best of Both Worlds music

Yeah that is highly likely, the first episodes will be setup.

The biggest one will be the cliffhanger at the end of episode 10 or it could just be the Enterprise E, I would love to see the new F but ven if they are planning it they may keep that back until end of series along with Q.

Its still too early to say.
So the hug between Hugh and Picard was not scripted, Patrick suggested it on the day

The hug was appropriate for the situation plus he is pretty much the only person that has been happy to see Picard.

If this was a film they could rename it:

Star Trek: The Search for a Friendly Face.

Shhh ... Don't give CBS ideas. :D :guffaw:

Anybody else remember the cut for time SNL sketch where Kenan Thompson played Worf in Dr. Worf, M.D.? It's on YouTube.

I think I figured out why Brophy wasn't brought back to reprise Maddox. The production heavily disagreed with his decision to parole Red in The Shawshank Redemption.

Funny enough....I don't think earths leading cybernetic expert could do anything with a Commodore 64 except maybe turn it on
